Meghan's musicianship and professionalism will make your special event extraordinary!
Meghan was very professional, had a clear contract that covered everything. She followed exactly our requests and the feel we were looking for, and worked with us ahead of time to make sure everything went smoothly at the wedding. Our guests loved the music as well as the picture such a beautiful instrument makes. I will definitely look for another event where I can use her again.
I can't say enough about how much I loved having Meghan at my wedding. It was one of my favorite things about my wedding. She played for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Everyone loved it and they loved that Meghan knew modern songs! I highly highly highly recommend Meghan :)
Response from Meghan Kathleen Davis, Harpist:
Janelle, it was truly an honor to work with you and Tommy! I am so happy that I was able to be a part of your big day. Congratulations!
We were so grateful that Meghan Davis performed at our wedding. She was such a pleasure to work with leading up to the event; her repertoire is voluminous and varied, and she helped us refine our musical selections when we needed assistance. We will fondly remember Meghan's pleasant, professional demeanor and her talent on the harp, accompanied by her gifted voice, as we think back to our beautiful wedding day. She can bring light to any event, and we offer our strongest recommendation that she brighten yours! -- Mark & Dana
Meghan played at my wedding. Although my timeline was off she adapted and played beautifully. I was lucky that the ceremony was at a private residence and I was able to hear her beautiful music while I was finishing getting ready. My guests all loved her and complimented her style and way of playing. Thank you for playing so beautifully. I will remember it forever.
Meghan and her husband Alex were amazing! The harp and cello duo for ceremony and cocktail hour was so elegant and so perfect for our DC wedding. Meghan was responsive, professional, and accommodating. Meghan has an extensive music list and helped make recommendations. We loved them and would give our highest recommendation!
My mom spent a good part of her 93 years as a kindergarten teacher in a Catholic school. She wasn't a great musician herself but she loved to sing to her students. Her favorite song was "Simple Song" for Leonard Bernstein's "Mass". It opens with, "Sing God a simple song, make it up as you go along, for God is the simplest of all." It is a wonderful lesson to teach and fully embodies my mom's spirit. I asked Meghan if she knew it. She didn't but she promised to search out the music and learn it for the funeral. We carried my mom's ashes down the aisle accompanied by this song and Meghan's incredibly wonderful talent, both as a harpist and a singer. Somewhere in her musicianship, I could hear those thousands of kindergarten voices who once learned this song from my mom. Like all great artists, Meghan's talent captures the truth of a moment and a person. The commendation prayer at the end of a Catholic funeral begins with "May the angels lead you into paradise..." Thanks to Meghan, we were all lucky enough to know what that experience must be like.
I absolutely loved working with Meghan. She helped us hone our vision for our ceremony music, and came up with wonderful custom arrangements. We had her play music before our ceremony and sing and play one song during it as well. I didn't get to hear much before the ceremony but during my walk down the aisle and as I was listening to her sing during the ceremony, I was so happy we picked Meghan! Her music added the perfect romantic, personal, and sophisticated touch to the proceedings!
I had Meghan to perform at my ceremony. She was fantastic to work with from start to end. I wanted them to learn to play a song from my ethnic background. I sent Meghan the mp3 and she got it perfectly! She sent me a recording of the arrangement and made changes as I asked. She was very flexible and went back and forth with my requests patiently. On the day, she was there and set up almost an hr in advance. They sounded and looked great! Im so happy I went with Meghan, not to mention she was one of the best qoutes I got! All in all, an excellent choice, don’t hesitate to book them!
Meghan performed for Mom's birthday. Lovely; breathtaking; unforgettable. Highest recommendation.
Meghan's performance was beautiful! She helped make our son's wedding a magnificent celebration. While everyone was absolutely impressed with her harp playing they were completely enthralled by her singing. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Meghan to make any celebration a memorable occasion. Meghan was absolutely incredible!
We had Meghan and her husband play the harp and cello at our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were professional and great to work with leading up to the big day. The music at our wedding was beautiful. People truly enjoyed the romantic touch. Thank you, Meghan!
Meghan is by far one of the most professional people with whom I have ever worked. She was incredibly responsive through the entire process. She was also a tremendous help in making our music selections and she learned a new song for us too! She was on time on the day of our wedding and everything went according to plan. She was appropriately dressed for the occasion and we received many compliments on Meghan and on her playing (as well as that of the cellist that accompanied her). Working with Meghan could not have gone any more perfectly, she was absolutely fantastic. Strongly recommend her to anyone considering a harpist/cellist for the big day and I hope that I have a reason to work with her again in the future!
It's been a year since I got married and I am just now getting around to reviewing my vendors (I know, horrible)!!!! The first one I wanted to come to was Meghan Kathleen Davis! She is amazing! Talking to her on the phone about what I wanted in a ceremony was so easy, she is literally the sweetest person I've ever talked to. She is super professional and quite reasonably priced. My husband and I were on a tight budget for our wedding. But even so, I would've paid more for Meghan! Her skills are impeccable. Everyone still raves about what a lovely job she did for our wedding! She played for all of the guests while they were being seated and for our ceremony I had her play Your Song for when the mom's walked in, Can't help falling in love for my bridesmaids, A Thousand Years for when I walked down the aisle, and Here Comes the Sun for the processional. Highly highly recommend using Meghan for your ceremony music! I would request her services for any events in the future!
Absolutely amazing and wonderful addition to our wedding. Being from Wales where the harp is the national instrument my family all loved the music! The cello was also a beautiful addition. I cannot wait to get my wedding video to hear all the songs that they played as I was tucked away while guests were arriving. Meghan was super responsive to my emails, texts and calls. She learned a new song for us which was a must have at our wedding. I unfortunately never got to meet her in person, but I did give her a wave while we were doing our photos! Even though we never met, I felt super comfortable working with her. She was very professional and her music is really spectacular. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a special addition to their ceremony. Pricing was very reasonable and she was superb to work with!
Meghan was a dream to work with! She was so responsive, gave many suggestions, and really cared to make sure everything went perfect for our day. She made our ceremony absolutely beautiful her playing is flawless. I am so fortunate I found her and am so glad we were able to have her with us on our very special day!
Very responsive and super easy to work with. Voice and harp are beautiful together. She played at our ceremony and during our cocktail hour and it was truly amazing and very classy. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Meghan is one of the loveliest people to work with. She is professional, friendly and very accommodating. She played a delightful variety of background music at a retirement party for our CEO. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed her music and we highly recommend Meghan for any event!
Meghan was great! Easy to work with, showed up on time, needed no instruction and played everything we requested...and it sounded amazing!
Thank you!
My wife and I had Meghan and Alex perform at our wedding in May 2016. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and performed spectacularly at our ceremony. From the beginning, Meghan was so easy to work with and very flexible to meet our requests. She even wrote an arrangement to allow our close friend to sing during our ceremony. She and Alex played a variety of great music and all of our guests were raving about them. Thank you Meghan and Alex for performing at our wedding! Dan and Michelle
My daughter is very fond of the harp and harp music so as a wedding gift i hired Meghan to perform at her wedding ceremony. We couldn't have been more pleased! She was very pleasant to work with through the entire process from beginning to end as well as accommodating with special selections that my daughter wanted to hear. Meghan was very professional during the ceremony and very aware of what was going on at all times in case she needed to stop playing without us saying a word. She played beautifully and the selections were so good that often i would hear some of the guest singing along! We all loved having her there and she was an excellent addition to our event which raised the bar of the ceremony!
Meghan performed for our corporate event - her music provided the backdrop for our cocktail hour and dinner. After a long day, the soft sound of the harp music was a perfect for our dinner at the aquarium. I would recommend her for absolutely any event. She's just a pleasure to work with... professional and extremely talented. She mixed up the perfect blend of music based on my high level explanation of what atmosphere we were looking to achieve. At one point when she played an Elton John song - everyone at my table commented on how awesome it was to have a harpist at the event. I couldn't recommend Meghan more highly.
Working with Meghan was a wonderful experience. She was an absolute professional from start to finish. We hired Meghan to play at both our wedding ceremony (in a church) and our cocktail hour (at a golf resort) in early April 2016. Meghan literally set the tone for our day – elegant, beautiful, uplifting and calming music. 3 things stood out to me about Meghan: 1) She responded very promptly to my emails. 2) When my fiancé’s grandmother unexpectedly arrived 25 minutes late for our ceremony, Meghan continued to play for that extra time without issue which made the time pass more quickly for our guests. 3) A couple weeks before the wedding, I requested that Meghan sing “Ave Maria” (not just play it) during the lighting of the Unity Candle. She has an incredible voice to accompany her beautiful harp skills! I’m thrilled we made that last minute decision. Many guests remarked how beautifully she played and continued to comment in the days after our wedding. I recommend Meghan to anyone and would hire her again in a heartbeat!
Meghan was amazing, she was the most memorable part of what turned out to be what our family and friends described as the best wedding they had ever attended. As parents of the groom we were pretty busy and only wish we had have had more time to listen to her wonderful music, after the ceremony. Megan is so professional and makes you feel at ease. Sorry we took so long to review, thanks again Meghan.
Meghan and Alex added just the right touch to a beautiful wedding. Very versatile and certainly talented performers. I warmly recommend them! Meghan was a professional from start to finish. She was prompt in communicating with us, helped us select songs that were appropriate and reflected our tastes. She was on-time and ready to perform and above all, is extremely talented. I received so many compliments about the music during the cocktail hour and ceremony. I'm so glad that she (and Alex) were part of our big day!
I absolutely love the Harp and it was my dream to have it at my wedding. When I say we were blessed and honored to have Meghan at our wedding playing the harp as beautifully as she does is an understatement. She was definitely one of the highpoints of our ceremony and reception. She plays beautifully. I would highly recommend her for any type of event. I can only hope something else comes along that I can enjoy her services again.
I've always dreamt of having a vocalist sing with the beautiful sounds of the harp at my wedding. Meghan made that dream come true. She made the entire process super easy with no stress at all. Thank you Meghan for helping make my wedding day so special.
Meghan did not disappoint in the least, from the time we got in touch with her she was very prompt in sending contract and asking us what music we had in mind to finding out all important information about the venue to setting up. Our guests were very impressed with the atmosphere the Harp brought to the occasion our daughters cocktail hour. Thank you Meghan for your professionalism and talent. Hope to do business with you again.
Meghan and Alex provided the music for my son's wedding in May of 2014 and for my daughter's wedding in September of 2015. I can't say how wonderful Meghan was to work with. I was already familiar with her talents, which are extraordinary. Meghan's website has a large selection of songs, which made it easy for us to pick out 'non-standard' songs for the services. It's great to see things like Saint-Saen's 'The Swan' and DeLibe 'Flower Duet from Lakme', both of which we used. Equally impressive is the list of about 2 dozen audio samples of her playing. How many singers are able to perform 3 different Ave Maria's??
Also impressive is Meghan's willingness to arrange and learn a new piece, which helped us to personalize the ceremony.
The people in attendance were flabbergasted by her performance. When she played and sang the Ave Maria, people were mesmerized. I received many high compliments after the ceremony, which made my daughter's wedding that much more memorable.
Meghan was a true professional from start to finish. As a bride, I was stressed about so many details leading up to our big day, but the music for our ceremony was never one of those things. Meghan put me at ease from the moment we first spoke and accommodated every request I had without hesitation. On top of all that, her talent is amazing and, in my opinion, unmatched compared to many of the other harpists I looked at. I am so happy she was available to do our wedding and hope that we can use her for other events in the future!
Meghan and Alex (Cello) Thank you so much for playing our October wedding ceremony. It was perfect. I (Groom) loved listening to the music as I waited around the corner and it was calming yet added the perfect touch of elegance. The music from the harp and cello was a great combination to set up the rest of the night! They had a wide range of songs that we selected from a couple of classics to movie/tv show themes to add some lightness and keeps the guests guessing which type of beautiful song would come next. Their cover of "Trumpet Voluntary" as our Bride entrance song, had us both emotional as I saw my fiancee and as to how beautiful she was, and their music enhanced the moment as she progressed down the aisle. Thank you for etching that image with music to my memory.
So many guests commented after the ceremony as to how exquisite the music was while they waited before the ceremony start, during and on our departure. I just wish I could have made a CD of our set as it was a hit.
It was our best vendor service and experience we selected. I would highly recommend they play your wedding or corporate holiday event/party.
We were blessed to have Meghan perform at my daughter's wedding ceremony at The Merion. Meghan's performance was magnificent. She played both traditional and modern music on the harp. Meghan was professional and followed through with all communication in a timely fashion. Meghan has a gift to offer to any wedding or event; you won't be disappointed.
Meghan was able to save the day for our wedding. She was able to perform with only a weeks notice. It made my wedding day so special. We were lucky to have her be apart of our special day.
Meghan and her husband provided the ceremony music for my daughter's August wedding. This was so much more than "nice" music. Meghan was receptive to our needs and was able to provide suggestions and alternatives that made this special day exactly what the bride and groom had in mind. I am impressed with Meghan's genuine warmth and professional skills. She would be an asset to any function that she is a part of. Thank you, Meghan, for helping us celebrate and for being such an integral part of this joyous event!
Meghan was a pleasure to work with & made our wedding ceremony extra beautiful with her talents!
Meghan is reliable and extremely professional. Communication with her was so easy during my wedding planning process! The music for our ceremony was absolutely beautiful, and our family and friends truly enjoyed what Meghan had to offer. If you are looking for a ceremony musician, definitely contact Meghan. She is able to play a wide variety of songs and adds a classy touch to an unforgettable day.
Meghan K. Davis provided music for our birthday dinner party. She is a accomplished musician. Our guests were in awe with her performance and music selection. She was professional, timely, and elegant. Highly recommend Meghanif you want beautiful harp music for your special event.
We highly recommend Meghan Kathleen Davis on the harp and her husband on the cello for ceremonies and cocktail parties. We used them for the outdoor ceremony and indoor cocktail party at the wedding. They are accomplished musicians, tailored the musical pieces appropriately to keep with the timing of the ceremony, stuck with our predetermined program and their appearance was absolutely elegant. They were a real compliment to our wedding, and added to the atmosphere at the ceremony and the cocktail hour. They provided beautiful music to the guests walking toward the entrances to the pond where the ceremony took place and wafted music down to those seated below. Plus, they were a pleasure to deal with in making arrangements during the pre-wedding day period, even when we had to switch to a different venue located 70 miles from the original one. Meghan and her husband, who accompanies her on cello, even learned to play a piece we wanted that was outside of their repertoire, and they did it superbly. You will not be disappointed if you decide to retain Meghan and her husband for your wedding.

Detailed Review: Meghan was an absolute delight to work with on the music for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at the Inn at Leola Village! From our very first email exchanges and meetings to post-wedding communications, she was professional, kind, flexible, extremely easy to communicate with, and above all, an amazing harpist and vocalist. Her harp music selections and special requests pulled our Celtic-themed wedding together beautifully. Meghan took the time to get to know my fiance and I before the wedding, worked with us to select traditional as well as unique, custom arrangements for songs that were very special to us and our families, Her repertoire is beyond impressive--from Bach and Beethoven to the Beatles and Adele, Meghan found arrangements for songs not in her regular repertoire and adapted them to the harp. For a very reasonable extra fee, she even custom-arranged several songs for us, including one song by our favorite Scottish folk group, Runrig, that she played and sang during our ceremony. We were so impressed with Meghan after our first meeting that we decided to have her play just the harp during our entire cocktail hour too, which included "The Skye Boat Song," the theme from the recently-popular TV show, Outlander. (This also saved us money on hiring a DJ for just the reception music!) We received so many compliments about Meghan from family and friends at our wedding too. We give our highest recommendation to anyone seeking beautiful harp music and singing for a once-in-a-lifetime or every day event. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, again, Meghan! We hope to hire you again for our vow renewal in a few years. :-)
I couldn't have asked for a better harpist. She personalized my wedding day by playing a special song for me to walk down the aisle to. Hearing our song brought tears to my eyes I was so happy.
Meghan was a fantastic addition to our wedding ceremony and reception! Her music was beautiful and she was such a pleasure to work with! Meghan is so talented, professional, and ways made herself available for any help we needed! If your looking for live music with elegance, you need to hire Meghan!!!
We hired Meghan for ceremony & cocktail hour music for our wedding in March. She was fantastic! Accommodating, professional, & incredibly talented! She was a joy to work with and her pricing was exceptionally competitive! She worked with my soloist for a couple of extra pieces I wanted and they came out beautifully!! You absolutely need to have her perform at your function! You won't be sorry!
Meghan was a professional from start to finish. She was prompt in communicating with us, helped us select songs that were appropriate and really felt like "us", was on-time and ready to perform, and above all, is extremely talented. I received so many compliments about the music and the beautiful sound of the harp really "made" our ceremony. I couldn't recommend Meghan highly enough, I'm so glad that she was a part of our big day!
I hire Meghan to play at my daughter's shower on March 21, 2015. My daughter wanted a harpist for her wedding but I surprise her with one for her shower. She loved her. Meghan was a pleasure to talk to and very accommodating with my requests. She is very professional and lovely as well. Her performance at the event was magical and everyone loved her music and singing. She also sings which is amazing as she has a beautiful voice. She made my daughter's shower a memorable event. I would hire her and recommend her 100%. She is one of the best!
We hired Meghan along with the cello duet to play our wedding ceremony. We were looking for something different musically for our ceremony. We couldn't have made a better decision in hiring her.
Meghan's skills on the harp are of the highest quality. She is extremely professional and very easy to work with, helping us put together a great selection of music for our ceremony. As an added bonus, she was able to learn the Game of Thrones theme song (a favorite show of ours!) which we had her play while our guests were arriving. It sounded amazing on the harp and cello together!
We would absolutely hire Meghan again for a future event, and we highly recommend you do the same.
Meghan was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She is laid back and has a no pressure feel while booking. I received so many compliments from my ceremony guests about how beautifully she played! Nothing better then hearing her play the harp as I walked down the aisle!
Meghan was absolutely wonderful to work with. Everything went off without a hitch and i loved the music that was chosen for the ceremony.
Everything was executed perfectly. We would recommend Meghan to everyone considering her for a special occasion.
I contacted Gig Salad last March for my son's wedding and brunch the day after. After reviewing and talking with Ms Davis, we booked her for the brunch. Meghan arrived early, set up and began to practice. I knew then that we had been truly blessed with her talent. The brunch when extremely well, many of the guests told us how amazed they were so impressed with her talent. I will plan to hire Meghan again whether it is in Philadelphia or Washington Dc were we live. You will not be disappointed if you hire her.
Meghan and cello played at our annual Holiday Party. She was excellent. Our guests were thoroughly enjoyed the music. I highly recommend Meghan.
Meghan's music is as beautiful as she is! We randomly selected Meghan for a Christmas party and from the moment she walked into our home, she 'wowed us'! Articulate, professional, friendly - our friends enjoyed her music and conversing with her. Meghan is a true artist whose music and talent made for a 'magical evening' for all to enjoy and a memory that we will have forever to share!
Meghan was a pleasure to work with. She was absolutely wonderful during our garden ceremony at our wedding on 10/10! Hearing her as I was coming down the isle helped me keep the calm that I needed on our incredible day. Our guests absolutely loved her special touch! Thank you again Meghan!
~Mr. & Mrs. DuPoux
Meghan plays the harp wonderfully. She presented classical and show tunes and arranged some of our favorites. She helped us decide what to play when as we moved from background music, to a song we all sung, to a variety during the reception.
Meghan was totally professional for our wedding day. She answered all of our questions prior to the big day, and gave several suggestions and ideas when we were unsure of what we wanted to play. We are so thankful that we had such a beautiful harpist for our wedding day.
~Mr. & Mrs. Scioli
To begin, Meghan arrived comfortably early for her performance at my event, which was very appreciated and made her set up quite stress free as she was ready to go well before my guests began arriving. Her music was wonderful throughout the evening and really added to my cocktail hour (and a half). Meghan was very professional both in her attitude and with her music. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. There is no way you will be disappointed with Meghan. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her and my experience with her and I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for a harpist!
We hired Meghan for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. She played the harp so beautifully, she will bring tears to your eyes. Meghan was so easy to work with and always professional. Her presence and talents made our wedding outstanding. The guests loved her.
Meghan was a lovely person to work with and made everything very simple on a day that is just not made to be simple. She was absolutely the last person I had to worry about with her incredible talent as a musician and professional attitude. I gave her a laundry list of songs of which she learned and played exceptionally well. She was the proverbial icing on the cake on our wedding day. Thank you Meghan!
Not only did Meghan play beautifully at the ceremony and cocktail hour, but was also a blessing to work with. Meghan answered all of my questions (and eased my stress) always promptly and was extremely professional. She also learned my favorite song, by led zeppelin, for me to walk down the aisle to (which shows her versatility). Almost every guest at the wedding could not stop raving about her. Meghan provided, hands down, the best moments of my wedding.
Meghan provided perfect music for our wedding ceremony! Her music really set the tone for the entire wedding and created a wonderful atmosphere. Meghan was extremely easy to work with and was very flexible throughout the entire process. She has a great selection of music to choose from and plays beautifully! We highly recommend her to other couples!
Meghan’s music provided beautiful atmosphere for our spring wedding in Princeton, NJ. We first touched base with her several months before our big day, and she always responded, whether by phone or email, in a timely and professional manner. Her music was amazing!! All of our guests loved hearing her harp during our ceremony and cocktail hour. In addition, Meghan went out of her way to learn and perform a couple of our nontraditional requests that had sentimental meanings for us and our family, and her performance of the “classic” wedding choices that we requested were phenomenal as well. She is one of the area’s best, and a true artist that should be considered by anyone looking to provide an event with wonderful harp music.
Being a business owner of a production company, I was stunned and awed by the professionalism of Meghan Davis. Her talent is uncanny, her communication was flawless, and she is truly one of the most professional people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional harpist for an event.
I had Meghan perform at my home for an 85th birthday party I was hosting for 30 people. She performed wonderfully and everything from the initial contact, communications around the repertoire, arrival and setup to interactions with the guests was top notch, professional, warm and friendly. Highly recommended without reservation.
Meghan provided the music at my mother-in-law's funeral mass.
With her beautiful harp and voice, it was as if a beautiful angel was giving everyone present a preview of what to expect in heaven. I have seen Meghan play before at other affairs, including my son's wedding. No matter the venue, she is the whole package.
I recently planned a fundraising event in a classical venue for some major Philadelphia area philanthropists. Part of the event included autioning off some religious pieces of artwork. Meghan's performance on the harp added tremendously to the celestial ambiance and sophistication I wanted to create for the event. The music she selected included traditional harp music, but also some more "modern" pieces which enlivened some of the attendees. In addition to her mastery of the harp, several guests were captivated with her beatiful voice.
Meghan was a delight to work with through the whole process. On the night of the event she arrived early, was professional, and engaging with attendees. I highly recommend Meghan for any event you may be planning (...unless they interfere with the events I will be hiring her for again in the future).
From first meeting Meghan I knew she was a true professional! My mind was put at ease when she arrived promptly and introduced herself. Her performance was perfection. All of our guests commented that the ceremony was beautifully enhanced by the harp and cello making it a truly memorable experience. I am truly grateful for her gift of beautiful music that I will remember for years to come. I would recommend Meghan to any person having an event that required talent, commitment, and class!
I was searching for a harpist to play during my wedding ceremony and came across Meghan Davis. Since we lived about an hour or so away we did all our communication through emails or phone calls and she was always quick to respond. I was also hoping to have someone play the flute along with the harp and when I told her this she was able to find someone for us! She did an excellent job playing at our ceremony and we got lots of compliments on the music. When I had asked her to play a couple of pieces that were not listed on her page she found those pieces and learned them. She was very easy to work with and it was stress free (which is what brides need when it's getting close to their big day!) I cannot say enough good things about her!
Meghan gave a beautiful performace at my Dad's funeral Mass, along with Cellist Alex Keller. The music provided much comfort at a time of great sadness. She is very knowledgeable about Catholic services and was able to perform flawlessly as Cantor for the Mass. Very easy to communicate with and has a very professional and elegant demeanor. Many Thanks and hope to work with again!
I am so glad Meghan was a part of our May 2013 wedding at the Merion Tribute House!
Her beautiful harp music was the perfect complement to our sophisticated wedding venue and outdoor ceremony. We didn't have a large wedding party but it was a long walk from the venue to the altar so it was lovely to have harp music to fill the team and set the perfect tone.
Meghan was incredibly easy to work with--choosing music selections, order of music, set up at the venue, etc. She made a suggestion for the order of the song choices but when I asked her to change it later so was completely accommodating which I really appreciated.
We decided not to have a videographer so I don't have a recording of Meghan playing but from what I heard myself during my walk down the aisle and everyone else's compliments, I know we made a great choice!! Thank you, Meghan!
Ms. Davis was guest harp soloist at our recent church spring concert. She plays with passion and expertise. She not only plays beautifully, she is elegant to watch. Her arrangement of Send in the Clowns was gorgeous and skillfully performed. Both her accompaniments and her solos are done very expressively. She has a kind and gracious demeanor and is very easy to work with. We will definitely have her back again in the future. I would highly recommend Ms. Davis to anyone seeking a harpist.
My husband and I attended the Donegal Society Memorial Mass at the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Philadelphia this afternoon. This Mass was the lovliest we have ever attended. Meghan sang and played harp throughout the mass, providing both solo and duet performances with cellist, Alex Keller. Their music was absolutely exquisite! The combination of harp and cello was georgous and Meghan's voice was just so incredibly beautiful. The music selections and arrangements were perfect for the occasion. The Ave Maria, Prayer to St. Francis and Our Lady of Knock were especially stunning and emotionally comforting to those mourning the loss of loved ones. Stunning Performance!!
Meghan provided just the right musical touch to the event. Her appearance and style was an added pleasure. I look forward to attending other events which feature her talents.
Meghan played harp and sang for our wedding ceremony at St. Peter's Church in Northern Liberties on June 2, 2012. The ceremony was a full traditional Roman CPatholic mass, and her harp and voice enhanced the beautiful solemnity of the event. If the church was not so amazingly stunning, and my wife not so drop-dead gorgeous, Meghan would have stolen the show. It was perfect.
On Saturday June 9, 2012, we hosted a bridal shower tea luncheon for my niece. The event was held in an outdoor pavilion with a spectacular view of the grounds surrounding it. Meghan played while the guests arrived and lunch was served. She played beautifully and completed the event knowing exactly what pieces to play to compliment the day. Dealing with Meghan prior to the event was a pleasure, she is competent, professional and extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend her for any occasion you may find the desire to treat your guests.
Meghan provided a wonderful accompaniment to the opening reception at the Philadelphia Rose of Tralee event. The mix of classical and more popular tunes was perfect and her command of that beautiful instrument is amazing. Her selections set the stage for an elegant evening and added a touch of class to the occasion.
We just attended a Valentine's Day candle-light dinner at our Club and Meghan was the featured entertainment. First of all, her program was the most beautiful blend of musical genres that we have ever heard. Second, she is a very skilled harpist with much talent. Third, did I mention that she is as beautiful as she is talented. What a wonderful evening!
Meghan's performance added the perfect touch to a recent cocktail reception that I attended. Her musical selections which ranged from classical to Gershwin to jazz standards were performed and presented with both style and elegance. She is truly a talented and beautiful musician.
I recently attended a reception which featured Ms. Davis playing a wide variety of harp music. I must say I was very impressed with both her musicality and style. She delivered an impressive performance which truly made the evening magical.
I attended a wedding recently at which Ms. Davis played. Her preludes were tasteful and delicate, and she even sang while accompanying herself on the harp! The harp's lush and warm sounds provide the perfect backdrop to any wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, solo performance, and many other events. It can be paired beautifully with other instruments such as the cello, violin, viola, flute, clarinet and others and it is gorgeous on its own.
When I first began playing the harp at the age of nine, I couldn’t reach the pedals! I fell in love with the instrument years before on a family trip to Ireland, and I haven’t looked back. I have performed for weddings and other events since I was twelve years old when I was paid with gifts instead of money. Fast forward to today, and I have played the harp for hundreds of weddings, parties, concerts, and for many other occasions.
I studied with the current Singapore Symphony Principal Harpist, Gulnara Mashurova, in New York City for eight years before attending The Peabody Conservatory of Music of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where I studied with renowned harpist, Dr. Ruth Inglefield. During my time at Peabody, I played with the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, The Peabody Wind Ensemble, and many chamber groups.
In addition to my harp studies, I have always been passionate about singing. I received Bachelor’s degrees from Peabody in both harp and voice performance. While there, I studied voice with distinguished mezzo-soprano, Marianna Busching. I was a member of The Peabody Singers for all four years at Peabody. I appeared in The Marriage of Figaro, The Tales of Hoffmann, and the world premiere of The Yellow Wallpaper as a member of the Peabody Opera Company. Upon graduation, I was awarded the Charles M. Eaton Prize for vocal performance, as well as the Azalia H. Thomas Prize for Music Theory. Additionally, I was elected to the Epsilon Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Lambda, a higher education honor society for music.
Following my studies at Peabody, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in vocal performance at the Boyer College of Music of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I studied with the established mezzo-soprano, Dr. Lorie Gratis. I appeared in La Boheme as a member of the Temple University Opera Company. I was also a member of the Temple University Concert Choir and the Graduate Conductors Choir. After graduating with my Master’s degree, I settled in the Philadelphia area, where I started my business and worked for over six years. I am excited to be moving to the Washington, DC metro area, where I will have the opportunity perform in the nation’s capital. I am very fortunate to be able to do what I love every day, and to share that love of music with others!
I have an extensive repertoire list, but I am always looking to continue to expand. If you do not see your desired song on my list, I can arrange it for a small fee. I love seeing the looks on my clients' faces when they hear the arrangement that was written just for them!

I enjoy listening to and performing a wide variety of music. I love Classical music, as well as jazz standards, and music by more modern artists such as Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Bruno Mars, the Beatles, Elton John, and more!
A level surface for the harp
If outside, it needs to be a reasonable temperature.
As few stairs as possible. A ramp or elevator strongly preferred.
Everett L. said “My Mom and family enjoyed every sound she played! My Mom still talking about Harp From Heaven!”
Talented, professional harpist with 20+ years experience performing for weddings, private events, or any event needing a touch of elegance.
Tracee H. said “Andrew did an amazing job at my wedding! I had three special requests, and he learned the songs and played them beautifully. The music was one of my favorite…”
Evelyn B. said “Lauren was amazing!1 Such sweet lady and her music with harp was beautiful and really made our ceremony extra special..I would highly recommend Lauren…”
