Motown (Detroit) native, Melody - aka "The Soul Butterfly," is not your typical vocalist, she's also a Gospel Stellar Music Award Nominee for New Artist of the Year and WAMMIE winner (Washington Area Music Award) for Best Female Gospel/Inspirational Recording for her multi-genre debut CD, "The Reason." Melody wrote and co-produced each of the songs on the award winning project. Melody has also been deemed as one of the most versatile vocalists in the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area by fans and peers alike! She considers herself a multi-genre vocalist and can be found performing a myriad of styles in various settings from Motown Classics, Soul, Gospel, R&B, Top 40 to Jazz (and even a little bit of country)!

Melody has not only been afforded the opportunity to perform on the stage of the famous Grand Ole Opry for a nationally televised Awards Show; she's shared the stage with such notable entertainers as the legendary Dionne Warwick, R& B great Regina Belle, actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, The Legendary Clark Sisters, Heather Headley and a host of others; she's also performed for the All American Inaugural Ball in honor of President Elect Barack Obama in Washington, DC. Melody's also no stranger to the theater stage and has performed in several noted musical/ theater productions, which included appearances at Washington, DC's historic Lincoln Theater and Maryland's celebrated Publick Playhouse.

Melody has been found gracing the stages of The Kennedy Center, Washington National Mall, Jefferson Memorial, Half Note Lounge, the former landmark Channel Inn, Jo Jo's Restaurant/Bar and a host of others. Most recently, Melody's talent and vocal skills allowed her to land a spot on the stage of the legendary Howard Theater and at the illustrious Caryle Club.

For the vocalist and band, both monitors and stage equipment, including instrument amps and mics (with extra long cable for corded mics) will be needed; they can also be provided from an outside affiliate for additional booking fee. For best results, event planner will preferably provide the following brand of microphones: Cordless (Shure), Corded: Shure or (Senheisser, if available).
