Minister Mervin Mayo, known as the Gospel Cop, began playing the piano at the age of 13. Since then, Minister Mayo has ministered gospel music in several churches, special events and sports arenas. Mervin has blessed the stage with National Recording Artists such as: Le’Andria Johnson, Dr. Shirley Caesar, Ernest Pugh and many others. In addition to being a Minister of Music, he is also a Richmond, Virginia Police Officer, and School Resource Officer. His purpose in life is to serve God by serving his community and protecting and serving the (Inner-city at-risk youth). Minister Mervin Mayo has grown closer to God, which is demonstrated through his sermons and he has blossomed into a phenomenal Gospel singer. His work in ministry is just the beginning. Many people suffering from depression, addiction and sorrow have been blessed by his music, teaching, and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Now signed to a major Record Label - TYSCOT Records which is distributed by Warner Music Group, Minister Mayo pours out his heart with several songs being played on the radio. He has received millions of views on social media and has generated millions of streams on digital service providing platforms. Over the past few years Mervin has released several Hit songs, such as "I Need You Lord", "Bow Down", “Christmas Time is Here”, “The Best Friend” and "God Did it" which is currently charting at #30 on The Billboard Gospel Charts. Mervin also appeared on National TV (AMERICAS GOT TALENT) and received 4 yeses to go to the next round. Minister Mayo currently resides in Richmond, Virginia and is married to Mechelle Mayo. They have three beautiful Children who are equally devoted to spreading the word of Jesus Christ.
