Mia Venezia

Philadelphia-based harpist Mia Venezia performs and teaches throughout the country. She has worked with renowned ensembles such as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Richmond Symphony, Nashville Opera, and New World Symphony, while holding principal harp positions for Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Venezia has been a featured soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh and St. Augustine Music Festival, and a two time winner of the Pittsburgh Chamber Society Chamber Division. She is currently touring with flutist Aimee Toner as a Lyric Music Society Artist. Ms. Venezia earned her Masters of Musical Arts degree from Yale School of Music as a Irving Gilmore fellow, studying under harpist and pedagogue June Han. She also received degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Northwestern University, graduating both institutes with distinguished honors. A passionate educator, Mia holds a private studio in which she hopes to inspire and foster the next generation of harpists.
