Grateful for the guidance and support of positive adult role models as a teenager, Michael dedicated his professional life to helping people navigate life's difficulties and launch their future into motion. For more than 25 years, he has been helping teens and adults to use what they have gone through as a catalyst for success rather than an obstacle for failure.
Michael is the recipient of the 2010 USA Network’s Characters Unite Award, the (phone number hidden) Men of Color Award, and the Y-COP Educator of the Year Award.
Using his experiences, compassion, and unique ability to meet teens where they are, Michael founded Youth Voices Center, Inc., to help young people overcome obstacles, history, stereotypes, and even their self-image and limiting beliefs to lead extraordinary lives.
