The Midnight Players are an R&B and Old School band based in Sacramento, Ca. Originally formed in 1977, founding members Rudy Betancourt (Saxophones), Manuel Cervin (Bass Guitar), Michael Sellars (Keyboards) and Raul Mejia (Lead Guitar) remain intact as the group to this day continues to blast the R&B, old school and funk to audiences that love to party to the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's dance grove. Established as a household name in the Sacramento music scene - the Midnight Players have been attracting audiences to every kind of event and celebration imaginable, from opening for heavy hitting acts like WAR, The S.O.S. Band, Midnight Star, Tierra, Brenton Wood, The Bar Kays, Dazz Band, Club Nouveau, Zapp, Heatwave, Rose Royce, Lakeside, and many others, to entertaining guests at concerts, weddings and birthday parties. The Midnight Players continue to hit the stage today with old school hits from artists like Earth Wind & Fire, Toni Tone Toney, Chaka Khan, Carl Carlton, Slave, Madonna, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Kool & the Gang, Evelyn "Champagne" King, War, The Gap Band, Chic,.... and many (link hidden) with a solid fan base, and over 30 years of tradition - The Midnight Players are a proven business force that can lift any audience off their seats and rock the house with an explosion of memorable dance grooves.
