Serving New England and beyond, Blackwood Productions offers alternative, contemporary, and classic songs and instrumentals, custom tailored to the vibe of your wedding or event. Guitarist and singer-songwriter Miles Blackwood Robinson has impressed audiences for over a decade with his alternative approach and unique voice. Perfect for ceremonies, cocktail, and more!
Needed a guitarist to accompany me for a singing gig. Miles learned all the songs so quickly & played amazingly- everything went smoothly & it was fun to perform alongside him playing! He was also very kind & professional :)
From my initial "meeting" w/Miles to the execution of our event, Miles proved to be professional, personable and a pleasure to work with. What I especially appreciated was that Miles did not have a 'been there, done that' attitude. He listened to my thoughts/wishes/suggestions, provided suggestions and direction of his own and blended the two which resulted in a successful; well received celebration. Would most assuredly invite Miles to assist with future projects.
Miles and his partner made our ceremony dreams come true. Miles preformed several songs that we requested and they sounded SO incredible. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Miles' prices were also incredibly reasonable. He happily traveled from the Boston area to central MA! Miles is INCREDIBLE!
Miles was just awesome to work with and helped make our wedding so special. First of all, Miles helped my wife and I put together a curated list of songs for him to perform, including some that we already knew we wanted and some that he suggested that ended up fitting the vibe of our wedding just perfectly. He provided all of the equipment needed to amplify the live music that he performed at our outdoor venue, and created several beautiful acoustic arrangements to play before and after the ceremony. Not only is Miles an incredible solo performer, but he also worked with a couple of our friends and family to include them on vocals/instruments in a couple of the songs.
In addition to the sweet live musical performance, Miles also provided the indoor PA system for after-dinner dancing, and handled playing the playlist that we had made for the wedding. He also set up some AMAZING multicolored uplighting around the dance floor that really zhushed up our venue and made it feel fancy and festive.
Miles is professional, friendly, and highly responsive. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a personalized musical touch at their wedding--he'll bring a gorgeous acoustic vibe that will truly elevate the whole affair. We're so pleased that we chose to work with Miles on our special day!
