Classically trained since age five and graduating with a Bachelor's in Commercial Music from Belmont University, Miranda Powell is a prolific live + session pianist/vocalist, performing a limitless variety of pop, jazz, classical, rock, funk, soul, and country hits. From weddings to private parties to corporate events, Miranda is available as a solo act, duo/trio, or a full band to provide you the highest quality of fabulous entertainment that your guests will rave about for weeks to come.
We were absolutely thrilled with the music Miranda and her band provided for our summer office party. We were referred to Miranda by a friend, and every interaction with her inspired confidence that we would get a great, professional band that covered a variety of music. Well, our confidence was well placed, because Miranda and her group showed up early, dressed professionally, and (most important) sounded fantastic. Miranda has a lovely voice, and she and the band sounded great on songs from a multitude of decades. This was important to us because our staff were invited to bring their spouses and children. It was truly an all-ages group, and Miranda's band had everyone up and dancing to songs ranging from Earth, Wind and Fire to Amy Winehouse to Billie Eilish. There really was something for everyone. Miranda really interacted with the crowd while absolutely singing her face off. Compared to some of the "wedding bands" I've seen at other events; Miranda's group was really second to none. Everything about our interactions and experience with Miranda was a genuine pleasure. We highly recommend reaching out to her for your event.

Even from a young age, music has always been an integral part of Miranda Powell’s life. Classically trained in piano since age five, Miranda also developed a passion for many other genres of music during her childhood, with influences ranging from Stevie Wonder to Ariana Grande. During her later teenage years, she began delving into the vast world of jazz and improvisation.
In 2014, Miranda made the move from her hometown of Columbia, MD to Nashville and graduated with a Bachelor's in Commercial Piano with a Digital Musicianship emphasis at Belmont University in 2018. During this time, she began fostering her production skills by studying the latest trends in music technology, while still continuing to develop a deep knowledge of pop, rock, funk/soul, and jazz in both piano and voice. Additionally, she began honing her songwriting skills in her own original music, drawing from her many childhood influences.
In 2019, Miranda released her demo single "I Hope You Know" while simultaneously continuing to assist other artists as a studio musician and live player. She recently released her arrangement of Billie Eilish's "i love you," as well as a trio of live performance reels. Currently, Miranda is prepping for her 2023 EP release TBA soon.
