“Andrew is a very skilled magical entertainer
with A unique outlook on our ancient art.”
Jeff McBride creator of the magic & mystery school
Magic is not about tricking you and making you ask how did you do that, but instead it's about taking you back in time to when you were innocently thinking that anything was possible as you gazed out the window at the clouds floating by magic in montana at gmail dot com
Andrew is performer who presents impossibilities for you to revisit at that time when you imagined anything was possible. Some of what he does is illusion, some of it is reality.Let
Andrew take you back in time to the impossibilities of your childhood!
I didnt even know that there was going to be a magician in the pack, Actually he was one of the safety crew brought in for the event, but during Dinner while waiting to get our plates, Andrew pulled off some wonderful magic. Little bells and roses all of a sudden showed up in the hands of many of us when there was nothing there before. oh and making gemstones appear and then presenting them as gifts to the riders, how special a memory this ride has been. I hope Andrew is at next years ride.. Yellowstone was a little bit more magical with him. his stories and his conjuring. What a wonderful timewonderful time.. .....
this is a crew of magicians that are absolutely insightful and amazing time with these gentlemen was well worth the price of admission to get into the event!~.. they truly stepped back in time to days long since gone, but not forgotten and brought forth mysteries that would have occurred those many days ago.
Andrew was so fun with his leather cup and balls, I could not believe the size of the Big red ball that finally showed up.. also his wishes and dreams routine was very special because as when he was done, a gift was presented to his audience members.
Joe, wow. what a great guy.. my favorite piece he did, was when he made a handkerchief penetrate my arm. oh his turtle was fun too Speedy ..
Mike, had some very interesting presentations, that made me think, about things in a whole different way.
I of course had a curiosity to know how they did those things, but the stories they incorporated made the day an exceptional experience.. if they are available to work for you, make them your first choice..
Montana Mystics gave a magnificent performance at Montana Ren Fest both this year, and last, entertaining both young and elder. They were both kind, and very professional, and giving a helping hand without hesitation when it came to preparation, set up, and moving. They were very easy and fun to work with, their material is funny, fresh, and invigorating. Fun for all ages. Entertainment for any type of fun.
having attended the Renaissance Faire In Hamilton Montana earlier this year, and then coming to Billings, and experiencing the festivities there i was so pleased to see that there were real magicians there. Andrew, Mike, and Joe had a continuous stream of visitors watching the magic and fun these guys performed. It was clearly evident that they were not there to twist balloons. Instead they brought to the table lots of amazement for all ages in the form of theater just like magic was intended to be presented .... AND.... there was no charge for anything .. but tips were flying into their jar as appreciation for their efforts. My daughter received one of the many gifts that these guys presented their guests.. a simple bracelet of a string and two beads. It likely will stay on her wrist until.....
These guys are fun, engaging and most entertaining..I will certainly be contacting them for my future activities.
Oh wow.. I just found out that the Montana Mystics are going to be at ZooMontana for Fright Night in October. I cant wait! ,
I saw Andrew and the rest of the Montana Mystics at the Renaissance Fair here in Billings and found them very entertaining. It was great to see how they worked the crowd, performing in costume and appearing to have a great time. They were able to give their illusions a period feel, which added greatly to their drawing a constant crowd at their tent. I was really impressed!
Andrew was fun to have and really kept the attention of the young crowd. Great entertainment and I would recommend him for any group. Thanks for such a great time... the kids esp loved it!~
I have known Andrew for about 4 years, and as a professional in the business here in Las Vegas I can honestly say that he is more than the ordinary "drug store " magician that generally populates the "Hire A magician" spectrum..... Andrew will always have something that will be on a level of amazement far exceeding most others who ply their trade as magicians in "The Big Sky Country"
For the highest quality magical performer, be sure to make Andrew Norstrum your One Stop at a price that will certainly please you ... you will be glad that you did.
I was really pleased to see one of the magicians from the Montana mystics there because there were a lot of young kids in attendance who just were not into the music on a hot Sunday afternoon... Andrew Norstrum took it upon himself to visit with these young people who were obviously bored, and entertain them with his pocketful of magic... I know of at least 10 moms ( me one of them)and dads that were glad he came by.. thanx Andrew) .
Mr. Norstrum provided some very interesting and interactive entertainment for our Valentines Day event. Not only did he M.C. the evening, but he also performed magic. yes, Magic and what he did astounded me. Not just me, but the whole bunch we had gathered for dinner and the awards program for our company. Needless to say, the details here as to what to expect from Andrew, are spot on and then some. Its definitely nice to have someone who is a member of the "Magic Castle" here in Montana willing to work for those of us who could never go there... More Magic Andrew, Please!!~
I have known Andrew for more years than I want to admit, and I had not know that he had transformed from a full time truck driver( the last I had known him to be doing) to now performing as a magician. We had been familiar to each other in High School, and he always was able to make me laugh, but i thought he was just a goof ball. To my amazement, Andrew is a wonderful entertainer, and and magic is the tool that he uses to bring smiles to those who watch him. One particular thing he performed was with a doll he said he had found during his travles down to New Orleans. the doll he held in his hand, laying down and when the music from the cajun band started to play the doll rose up and started to dance. the story that he told about the doll, and the actions of the little figure was a great compliment to an evening with a theme of Mardi Gras. Andrew, his magic and his Magical Crew made a possibly boring evening something far more exciting..
We had Mr. Norstrum entertain our guests at a private party during the annual Red lodge Winter Carnival, and he took us all on a journey into what we would consider impossible. His story telling with his "magical effects" was the perfect guide on that journey.
thanks Andrew Carla J.
Andrew was easy to work with, proved all of the information I needed. He gave me a show tailored to the needs of my community and was willing to work within my budget. Greta show. Everyone was very happy. Thank you Got Magic!
I had heard of Andrew from other friends but I had never seen him perform, that is until last month when I ran into him at a pup in Billings where I work as a bartender. Andrew was with some of his friends, Mike and Tammy. They did some magic for the patrons that night, and what seemed to be something impossible, became "The Possible". We were all pretty savvy to seeing the everyday dood come in and show a card trick or two, but these three raised the bar on the way I have always seen magic tricks performed.. They carried their magic into the performance art genre.. something that resonated deep within me. It was very cool to see a new magic than what I had always assumed. there is a new kind of magic in Billings. I know I will be seeing them again and again be astounded.
I needed to come up with entertainment almost immediately... I checked with several other entities In Billings, and they were either unavailable, or way to expensive for the quality of their performance. Andrew steped up to the plate, and constructed a program for me to fit the event. I had seen him perform before,at the H.O.G. ralley a few years ago and was totally impressed. but this time, he blew the doors off the place, and my clients and I will definately have him back again and again.
2010.. The blue Knights International Convention
On July 21st, Professor Andrew Norstrum performed for our Blue Knights International Convention attendees. His illusions were very well orchestrated and enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Andrew's skills attest to his nickname "Professor". Thanks for a great show, Andy.

LAS VEGAS WITH THE MASTERS
Press Release
Not everyone who goes to Vegas returns home richer than they left, but Andrew Norstrum says he did just that. Laurel's' own Andrew Norstrum went to Las Vegas to study at the McBride Magic & Mystery School, operated by Las Vegas magic headliner Jeff McBride and his teacher, Eugene Burger. While in Vegas, Andrew Norstrum not only got to work with McBride and Burger, but also magic legends Lance Burton, Mac King, and Siegfried Fischbacher of Siegfried and Roy fame and He also performed “Dancing Lights” in front of the Monte Carlo casino.
“I guess you could say I've performed on the Strip in Las Vegas now! If that's not a win, I don't know what is!” grinned Norstrum.
Mr. Norstrum first acquired an interest in magic at the age of 10, and he's finally gotten the chance to work at the craft full-time after retiring from a career in the transportation industry. Norstrum is just finishing up negotiations with a couple restaurants here in Billings, and the result will truly give the city's nickname, “ The Magic City ”, new meaning with his blend of historical storytelling and the magic of cards, coins, and larger illusions.
