What you'll get depends on the venue and the crowd. If it's my first time playing somewhere I will usually try to get there on a night when another artist is playing to get a feel for what works. If that's not possible I will speak to the entertainment director or owner to ask about their preferences. I will then tailor a set to meet those expectations but always have the ability to go "off script" when needed.
I like to engage with the crowd using anecdotes or background on some of the songs.
I love to perform and I think that shows when I play.

Mark got his first guitar more than 50 years ago and has been playing ever since.
Through his teens and early 20’s he played in several local bands in New Jersey.
While raising a family he continued to pick up the guitar and play but with fewer public performances.
For the past several years he has been adding material to his repertoire, and putting together his own sound system.
He has increased his stage experience by performing at open mics in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
He has performed at indoor and outdoor venues in Maryland, The Poconos, and Virginia Beach. He has been booked for corporate and community events, and enjoys entertaining the residents at assisted living facilities.
Mark is currently booking local gigs and enjoying his time on stage.
He is looking forward to the next step in his musical evolution and is eager to perform for you!

I am available for solo performances, open mic hosting, and events that just need sound support.
I have a line-array PA system suitable for venues up to about 150 people.
I have all he mics and cables needed.
For outdoor venues I bring a 10'x10' canopy tent if there is not one available.
