Music with Miss Margaret

I provide performance, sing-along and interactive musical experiences for children 5 and under. You can expect to sing along with some classic children's songs--some sung along with Ukelele, some with background accompaniment (I bring my own wireless speaker and mic, please inquire for larger events) and some with percussion accompaniment. We gather in a circle or group, introduce new instruments as the session progresses, have boogie break downs, drum marches and rainbow scarf dances! I make it a point to interact with each child; to make sure they are having a fun sensory experience, and not an overwhelming one. We also offer Musical Craft Hour--where we make our own drums and shakers with recycled household items (think coffee can drums, empty pill bottles filled with beans for shakers, etc) then proceed to Boogie Down to a themed dance party. For classrooms and early childhood centers, focus can be shifted more to educational and less toward party entertainment. Please ask about my curriculum and other offerings.

Miss Margaret studied the arts at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton, CA. She is a classically trained Vocalist and Percussionist with over 20 years experience, a caregiver of 10+ years, and a full-time Nanny since 2019. She has performed with symphonies and choruses all around the country since 2007, and made her way to Philadelphia in 2023. Music with Miss Margaret started as a small, local playgroup and has since grown into an entire project, providing Musical Edutainment for birthday parties, community events, Weddings (the little guests need entertainment, too!) and more.

For parties and smaller community events, I provide my own wireless microphone and speaker. For larger events, please inquire about PA setup
