Nothing But Velvet exceeded our expectations. We booked them for our wedding in October for ceremony + reception. Farrell worked with us on song selection (their catalog is huge and covers numerous genres), and learned several songs at our request. Every member is obviously talented and they brought tons of energy to our party. We got endless compliments from guests on how great the band was. Do yourself a favor and book this band!

Will celebrate my birthday, and it was a great night great music and the band was amazing

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Farrell and his team! He couldn't have been more accommodating, supportive, and patient, leading up to our big day and he definitely made us feel like the entertainment choices were driven by us, the client, versus his vision. On our wedding day, we/the venue had a major equipment malfunction and Farrell and his team made it work and we were able to have our ceremony music! Even though we only booked them for the reception part of our party, they did so much to support us during the ceremony itself too! The music was top notch and our guests LOVED the band. I can't emphasize enough how much of a privilege it was to work with them. Wonderful human beings, thank you again Nothing But Velvet!!

We were in the market for a band as an addition to our wedding entertainment lineup (we had a DJ, drummer, and saxophonist booked at the time).

We came across NBV through our Saxophonist who often plays with NBV and let me tell you - they are a match made in heaven!!! Their day of matching outfits of black head to toe with red shoes I thought were a great touch, they're all so in sync! (they were very mindful to ask about dress code which was nice so if you are having a black tie event, they would accommodate as such!)

Before we booked NBV, we ran into them as they were performing at a local park in our state. Farrel, Betsy, and Elias all have such a warm and welcoming presence to them, their aura just radiates through both their music and their personalities, I felt like I knew them for years when chatting with them!

We mostly worked with Farrel in regards to the contract, the flow of the day, and there aren't enough words to describe how patient, professional, and detailed he was in ensuring our day went smoothly. I should mention that Farrel and his team had an out of state gig the morning of our wedding [ insert bride panic ].. but Farrel, Betsy and Elias arrived early and were ready to welcome us as we did our ballroom reveal, doing soundcheck with our DJ!!

It was so fun to have Farrel, Betsy and Elias interact with us and have fun with our guests all throughout the night. Farell was often on the dance floor alongside our Saxophonist dancing while Betsy and Elias were killing it with the vocals and dancing along as well! They truly made my entertainment dreams come true having a band/DJ duo!

Our guests raved at how well executed all parts of our entertainment were and how NBV was an amazing band - Betsy and Elias vocals sing so beautifully together and they created such a wonderful night for us and our guests!

I had a very unique request for the band which was to do a flash mob-style proposal for my girlfriend. While other bands didn't want to take on the idea, Farrel and Nothing But Velvet were eager to offer their services and helped craft a perfect proposal. They shared video practices leading up to the event and communicated well throughout the process. They were wonderful to work with and would highlight recommend!

I hired Farrel for artist backing on Piano and he was amazing! He was able to get the songs by ear after listening to them once. We did a virtual conference call where we discussed expectations, dress code and the songs prior to the event. Highly recommend, very professional and an amazing pianist.

The residents are already asking when Farrel will be coming to play again! He takes pretty much any request asked of him, and said he would learn any new requests before the next show. Looking forward to working with him and the band in the future!

In a few words, the level of service and professionalism that was delivered was exceptional. And to all my fellow musicians who know the art, the performance musically is straight from a live concert to your venue. You will not be disappointed.

Nothing But Velvet was all we wanted AND MORE!!!! I’ve seen them play at different weddings and we had to have them for ours. Due to restrictions with COVID, we only had Farrell (keyboard player) and we still were satisfied. That’s how good they are! Definitely the band to choose

I highly recommend Farrell Hutchinson. He is a highly talented musician and a really great guy as well. Working with kids isn’t easy, but Farrell was patient, engaging, and highly professional. Prior to our session, he was very easy to communicate with and was responsive to all of our questions and helped guide us through an online rehearsal which wasn’t easy either. You can’t go wrong choosing Farrell for any event or session wiork.

From start to finish Ferrel was an absolute professional and a pleasure to collaborate with. Our request to Nothing But Velvet for a pre-recorded video was last minute, not planned, and full of changes. They rose to the challenge and helped us plan a wonderful Valentine’s event for the couples from our church. All of our requests were met beyond our expectations AND they delivered a finished product before our deadline. I look forward to having Nothing But Velvet for an in-person event in the future.

These guys are AWESOME sauce!!! I hired this band for my wedding on Jan 16. and they absolutely brought the reception to life!! Before I get into that, I am a musician myself and particular about good music. These guys were so professional from their attire to their performance. Everyone looked sharp and clean and played skillfully. They were on time for set up and were at their instruments ready to go. My wedding coordinator told us how impressed she was with their professionalism and ability to change last minute and adapt to new instructions. The leader of the band even MC'd and made everything effortless. The dance floor was NEVER empty, even during dinner. Their song selections were diverse from country, rock, reggae, and R&B and funk. I even requested a special song that I wrote to be played for our first dance and they played it better than I could have imagined. I would highly recommend this band. No reason to look any further. I already have them booked for an upcoming birthday party and I can't wait!! Nothing But Velvet is the way to go!!!!

This band helped me to celebrate my 30th birthday and it was amazing!!! They were 100% professional. The whole band engaged the audience. They sounded amazing. I couldn’t ask for more! The songs that they covered sounded great from some funk, jazzy tunes and top 40. I would recommend them for any event. The party would not have been the same without them!
