I have been doing stand up comedy professionally for over 16 years. I've had the pleasure of seeing the world with the MWR, USO and AFS military organizations. I've performed in the Middle East, Bosnia, Korea, Japan, Germany, the UK, Guam, Singapore, Diego Garcia, Guantanamo Bay and Hawaii to name a few. I've been honored to work with both Cedric the Entertainer and Eddie Griffin on tour dates as well as DVD's entitled, "The Starting Lineup" and "NTV". I also had the pleasure of working with Tracy Morgan on "Comic Groove"(Comedy Central), Kevin Hart on "One Mic Stand"(BET), Martin Lawrence on "First Amendment"(Starz), Ricky Smiley, J. Anthony Brown, Sheryl Underwood and Arnez J on "Comic View"(BET). Most recently I toured w Katt Williams on the "Growth Spurt" tour.
Nema (meaning "Sun" in Tibetan) was born in Kyoto, Japan, and lived in Katmandu, Nepal with his mother, brother and Tibetan step father. When Nema was 4 years old, he moved to America. His mother, originally from California, picked up residence in Oakland to be closer to her sister. Nema was a shy kid but with some prompting from his cousins he got involved in a youth theater group and fell in love with the. In lieu of tuition, the theater group asked him to mop floors and help build sets. He went on to star in Grease and landed leading roles in two more performances - Oh, What a Lovely War and A Christmas Carol. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding and appreciation of the arts, the youth theater closed its doors. Back on the streets, with little supervision and lots of time on his hands, Nema started hanging on the corner after school with the neighborhood thugs, but turned a corner when he ended up at Dorsey's Locker, a small bar in Oakland, during an open Mic comedy show. He stepped right into a spot on BET Comic View and he never looked back. He's appeared on Comic View 7 times, on Cedric the Entertainer's "Starting line up", in addition to "Comic Grove" on Comedy Central, "What Should You Do" on Life Time, "Comic Remix" again on Comedy Central and Sean "Puffy" Combs's "Bad Boys of Comedy" for HBO. Recently, Nema has gone back to his theater roots on stage in "I Sing 4 Luv", a gospel play, starring Howard Hewett, James Avery, Dawn Lewis and Freda Payne. Nema has gone onto headline colleges and clubs across the country and abroad touring with the Lucky Strike's Tour through Holland and selected cities in Europe, and through the UK with the real deal comedy tour. Nema has been able to return to Asia several times entertaining our military troops in Korea, Japan and Iraq with the USO. Most recently performed on the LOL Comedy Festival on Showtime and Martin Lawrence Presents First Amendment.
All I need is one mic. And maybe a mic stand oh and a bench and an audience is always nice but I only requirement a mic.

I grew up a huge fan of Steve Martin, but I've been influenced by so many amazing comedians it's hard to narrow that down so in all honesty the craft of stand up comedy it's self is my largest influence.
