Neptune String Quartet

Violinist Emelyn Bashour has performed across North and South America. She holds degrees in violin performance from Michigan State University, University of Michigan, and the Eastman School of Music. Emelyn is a member of the Detroit Opera Orchestra and the symphony orchestras of Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo, and has performed around the country at the Cabrillo Festival, Spoleto Festival USA, Vermont Mozart Festival, Opera in the Ozarks, and Aspen Music Festival, to name a few, as well as internationally at the Cortona Sessions in the Netherlands and the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.

The Neptune String Quartet is made up of young professional musicians in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area, with combined 20+ years of experience performing for weddings, memorials, and other events. As the Kalkaska Quartet, since September 2020 we have been the featured artist on FeverUp Detroit's Candlelight Classical series, performing at venues such as the Masonic Temple and the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.

As acoustic musicians, we have very few technical needs! All we need are some chairs and a shaded, dry area to perform.
