I saw Newberry Street at The Mint in Victoria and their covers of Brittany Spears and The Beatles were sooo good! The I Want To Hold Your Hand cover was a stellar choice for the voice of the singer. Excited to listen to them again!
Saw Newberry Street perform at the Mint in Victoria, BC. From upbeat smoky versions of Diana Ross to emotional singer songwriter performances, Newberry Street managed to keep the audience and myself engaged throughout their entire show. Felt ready to party with a glass of wine while also feeling all the feels of the music. Very beautiful combination of Male and Female vocals. Excited about things to come for them as you don't get to see such a tight performing Male-female duo these days!

Julia and Laurence connected through a shared passion for music. This led to the creation of Newberry Street.
Making a stage of her family's fireplace from the age of three, there was no denying Julia's passion for singing. She has a been on Victoria and Vancouver stages of performing leading roles in musical theatre, singing the national anthem for BC lions games, and was a three time PNE Star Search finalist. In 2012 she received a diploma in music from Douglas College.
Laurence spent almost every evening in his University days obsessively playing guitar in his bedroom, crafting his own unique sound. He has solo singer/songwriter performance experience. He has also played in rock bands as a bass player and back up vocalist and works on music production and audio engineering.
Newberry Street is completely self-sufficient. We have high-quality sound equipment to perform amplified music in any environment. You hire us and we are ready to go!
Power source preferred (Just a wall outlet!). If you don't have a power source, we have a batter-powered PA system.
