News From Bree

With News From Bree, expect a variety of songs and a richness of sound far broader than what you'd typically get with an acoustic trio. We chose our instrumentation very specifically to provide a more dynamic and full sound; the bass guitar and foot percussion, as well as flute on certain songs, fill in the sonic gaps an acoustic group normally leaves. We also try to be very intentional about the songs we perform so as to present enough variety (from Toto to Jim Croce to Modest Mouse to Katy Perry) to ensure everyone has a good time while still keeping the sound consistent enough to avoid audience head-scratching. We are high-energy and insert an appropriate amount of humor into every performance.

News From Bree is a South Florida-based trio playing a mix of rock, pop, and folk, old and new. Its three members have been active in the local music scene for years, teaching lessons as well as performing and recording with groups including The Helmsmen, Cardinal Moses, Jahzilla, On Target, and Jupiter Jazz Collective.

We can provide our own sound equipment or plug into an existing system.
