Nick Pelletier

Nick Pelletier began his viola studies at the age of twelve in his native town of Duluth, Georgia. Throughout his career, he has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, the Royal Concertgebouw, and the National Centre for Performing Arts in Beijing. He has spent summers at the Tanglewood Music Center, Aspen Music Festival and School, the Sarasota Music Festival, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the Brevard Music Center. An avid orchestral musician, Nick joined the National Youth Orchestra of the USA for two consecutive tours to China and Europe, where he played under conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Christoph Eschenbach, and Charles Dutoit. In an effort to pass on his love for music, Nick was also a teaching fellow for the Community Performances and Partnerships program at the New England Conservatory, where he taught in El Sistema programs at Boston elementary schools. He recently earned his Bachelor of Music degree at the New England Conservatory and is currently pursuing his Master of Music degree at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. His principal teachers include James Dunham, Marcus Thompson, and Paul Murphy.
