Niki Kennedy

A professional vocalist who has played hundreds of stages, from large festivals to intimate rooms. Niki works as a full-time performer and can be found playing venues around the Lower Mainland every week. A sweet but strong sound and an extensive song list featuring a wide variety of genres and styles (including Pop, R&B, Rock, Soul, Country, Oldies, Motown, Christmas/Holiday, Top 40) with custom song requests available for special events.

Born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, Niki Kennedy is a vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

A graduate of the Randolph College for Performing Arts, her recent releases have landed her multiple appearances on television and radio. A career-performer, Niki pivoted during the pandemic and has since performed over 500 virtual shows, connecting with listeners around the world. In 2021, Niki was selected as one of 28 participants in the SOCAN Foundation’s TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship, a program “designed to identify, celebrate, and support the next generation of music creators that have demonstrated extraordinary potential.” She was named a semi-finalist in the 2021 International Songwriting Competition, the 2022 Unsigned Only Music Competition, longlisted for the 2022 Faith Nolan Music Award, and won a Finalist Award in the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Niki hopes that by sharing honestly and vulnerably, listeners will feel seen, heard, and a little less alone. A reminder that it is okay to not be okay as she tries to give the world a hug, one song at a time.

As a solo artist, I am available to accompany myself with a keyboard (or venue piano, tuned). Duo, trio, or group also available for additional fee.

Shelter/cover from elements such as rain and direct sun must be provided for outdoor performances. I am able to provide my own speaker/PA or work with the venue's setup.
