My name is Sherrill M. Garth AKA,Omiyinka7 Zannu My stage name is Omiyinka7 & Tribe. My name was given to me by a Yoruba Chief. The name "Omiyinka" (means water surrounds me, or protection of the
Ancestors surrounding me). The name ,"Tribe" is the name that I obtained for myself, as a Nation of Tribes. I am available for bookings during the month of Black History month, in February and January. I perform a one woman's stage performance in a dedication to, Dr. Martin Lutheran King for his Birthday. Also during the seven days of Kwanzaa celebration. I perform a One Woman's stage performance of the following characters: Harriet Tubman, ( Stand And Deliver) Queen Nzinga, (Developing Determination And Persistence), Imhotep, (Developing Your Talents), ". I have been singing in the church since I was ten (10) Years old . I Initially fell in love with orator speaking as, well ,as poetry writing during my senior year in college. I took to spoken word Artistry like a fish takes to
water. I started writing poetry ,while in high school. I accepted my first real keynote speaking engagement, while overseas in Hanau, Germany. I toured with the Soulful Jackson singers, while under the supervision of Robert DeWitt Jackson in Berlin, Germany I lectured with the great Folklore and Storyteller, Tejumola Ologboni . I am a Master teacher in the field of Curriculum And Instruction specializing in English Language Learner. My undergraduate degree was obtained in the field of , (link hidden) Consumer Science,And Family Studies. I am a Professional Development Specialist for the Early Childhood Council. I conduct professional workshops, seminars and symposiums, while mentoring the students and assessing them in the classroom. I taught child care Providers during my tour on government official orders, Overseas in Europe, for the United State (link hidden) host an online Blog talk radio show in addition to hosting a show on Spreakers,Shoe-talk, and most recently I have established a station with Bam radio station. I aspire to be a Spoken Word Artist. It is my dream to air a show for children in music, with characters who are from my childhood pass. I am interested in aiding and assisting Special Populations of families of children with challenged and indifferentiated health care needs,and Special Needs. I would like to establish a Technical Assistant Center, that will focus on, Parent Directed Family Resource Centers. I think my dream has come true, because someone has answered the call to aiding and assisting families of children with challenged needs.
