Laurie was very responsive to us during the planning process and shared a helpful document that aided in our ceremony music plans. We loved having the string trio perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour! Highly recommend, especially for outdoor events.

We hired Ovation String Trio for our wedding. They provided beautiful music for the ceremony. It was incredible and our guests were very impressed!
We had a very formal wedding at an upscale inside venue.
The Ovation String Trio music was lovely (maybe better amplification needed however).
The price was very reasonable for the contracted ceremony package.
The team lead was very reasonable to work with for song selections.
I would have loved if the Trio members had dressed a little more upscale.
We would hire them again!

My wife and I booked the Ovation String Quartet (in trio format) for our wedding last week (both ceremony and cocktail hour), and we have only good things to say about them. Laurie was always quick to respond to emails and made sure that our requests were incorporated into the performance. She was easy to work with and ensured our special day was memorable. With an extensive song list and experienced group of professionals, you really can't go wrong selecting this group for your event.
Price Range: $175 and up
At the event, we will arrive early, with plenty of time to be relaxed and ready to play. Upon arrival, I will meet and touch base with the officiant and/or coordinator, making sure that the details and cues are clear and understood by everyone. We dress and act professionally, and our goal is for everything to run smoothly and seamlessly. Our repertoire is extensive, but I also accommodate special requests. I love to arrange music for the string quartet, and because I am trained as both a classical and jazz/rock player, I have the skills to create interesting and appealing arrangements.
I have received two degrees in music - a Bachelors degree from Northwestern University and a Masters degree from DePaul University. Additionally, I studied jazz violin and play with a swing combo, and a contemporary church band. If you would like to hear me play live, I have regular ongoing opportunities at church services and venues where I perform. The other members of the quartet are also well-trained musicians, and we collectively have several degrees in music. Ovation String Quartet has been playing since the 90's, and has performed for hundreds of weddings.
