We are an electrifying fusion of heart and harmony, fronted by a dynamic male/female duo, with the rhythmic pulse powered by a multi-discipline percussionist. Our musical canvas paints with Indie-Folk/Americana hues, dabbled with reimagined melodies from yesteryears to the present. The magic lies in the bewitching interplay of male/female vocals, haunting violin crescendos, rhythmic guitar artistry, and throbbing percussion.

Owls & Lions performed during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Our special day was set aglow with the wonderful tunes from this band. Their live music created such a beautiful atmosphere, setting the perfect tone.
We absolutely loved having Nicole & Jay (Owls & Lions) for our wedding weekend in October! From the Welcome Party (which they offered to play as an add-on for the weekend) to our ceremony to the cocktail hour to DJing an amazing reception - we have had countless guests recount that one of the favorite things about the weekend was the music. Jay is awesome to work with, professional and totally understood what we wanted. Disco is one of our favorite genres (and disco balls were featured prominently in our venue). He really keyed into that and a favorite moment of ours was Dancing Queen! Nicole is an amazing singer and violinist. People were amazed listening to her singing during the cocktail hour (she does an amazing Adele)! They played Leon Bridges and Taylor Swift during our ceremony and it really was beautiful. By the end of the weekend, they really felt like great friends!

Our ceremony was outside in the woods and they performed the most beautiful acoustic set with their guitar and violin- it was truly magical! We had Owls& Lions (Jay & Nicole) play at our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was amazingly perfect. Vocals that I wanted as I walked down the aisle were everything. But Jay & Nicole feel in seamlessly to the ceremony and weren’t intrusive. When we chatted with Jay to setup things, he was kind and offered suggestions. A true professional! Jay also DJ’d the reception which was awesome! Wish we had them play ( Owls&Lions) at reception too but we’ll just have to have them at our next event.

We could not have been happier with our choice for music on our big day. The violin added the perfect touch to the ceremony, and Jay kept the party going all night for the reception. They were so easy to communicate with, and followed our every need. We were so impressed how they got everyone up and dancing! The magic mirror was the awesome cherry on top. Our guests loved how open and easy it was to use. I could see Owls and Lions being perfect for intimate events, or large crowds. A steal for the price! Can’t recommend enough!

We are a unique blend of live music and often DJ, for parties that may want it. Because Jay (guitar, vocals) is also a 20 year profession events/wedding DJ & MC, we can seamlessly combine these skills into one service (DJ/Band Hybrid/Combo).
Sometimes we perform as just an Acoustic Guitar/Violin Duo for Ceremonies, Cocktail Hours, Celebration of Life's, chill private & public events, etc. We have fun upbeat personalities, but when you want the music to be more peppy and up-tempo acoustic, we bring in our 3rd band-member Kevin to play percussion.
All our music is memorized and we NEVER look at IPads or lyrics when we perform. Our setup is really neat and sweet looking with minimal wires and clutter. We dress stylish and fun, always appropriate and never boring. We take pride in our image and aesthetics.
We come with multiple sound systems in case we have to be set up in various places for the same event (Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception). People also ask us to roam sometimes and we even have the capabilities to roam and still have instruments be heard.
If you want more of a party band and the expectation is that your guests dance and rock out, we suggest you hire our full band which includes Drums, Bass, Keys, Lead Guitar and also Sax. We have a lot of videos to demonstrate what we look and sound like.
We are not your typical traditional wedding band. We approach things in a more personal way. We are friends who have toured the country playing music since we were kids. We rarely substitute musicians unless someone is sick or just can't be there for personal reasons. We play cover music but we try to play it an original way that differentiates us from other bands. We love performing our favorite songs from the '70s and artists we love like Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Eagles, Daisy Jones & The Six, etc. If you love that too, you can request for us to don our '70's style and we'll dress to the nines and give you a '70s Tribute experience you'll never forget.
