As a paleontologist, educator, and photographer I have had the opportunity to go some amazing places and learn things that no person has ever known before. My presentations focus on everything from basic principles of science and scientific thought, to specific research discoveries, to travelogues showcasing the crazy places I have worked. I have presented a talk series called "Bad Geology Movies," in which I discuss scientific inaccuracies in the movies as a jumping off point for improved science education. I have worked with people of all ages, from kindergarten to retirees, as well as special needs and underserved communities.
