What to Expect
I offer a unique musical experience for a wide range of events. I can be a showpiece, or I can simply be the Ear Candy in the background to set the mood. Whatever it is that you need one thing remains. I am not your average musician. Not only are my songs fun but my energy is too!
On stage :
I come equipped with my own Sound System, Area Rug, Ambient Stage Lighting. (Stage not provided, but I can easily perform without one)
I keep my performance area as tidy as possible and I am always dressed to impress.
I am able to hook up an Iphone, Ipad, music player to my sound system.
Extra Microphone available with advanced notice.
My performance area/set up is small but my sound is large.
Instrumentation :
(One Man Band) - Guitar/Vocals. Putting Vocals and Guitar through my looper pedal I am able to create a band live on stage! As these songs come to life audiences often watch intently as they try to guess what I will play next.
(Paul Filek Duo) - Guitar + Looper Pedal + Bass Player. This is essentially the One Man Band plus a live bass player. This allows for a little more movement in the music and also on the stage!
(OK!FUN!Event Band) - Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Drums. Full functioning Event Band! We make a party and the dance floor doesn't stop! Addition of female singer also available!
Although I do play a lot of the Classic Tunes of the ages I put a heavy focus on songs that are Current and trending. You will not hear the YMCA, or the Chicken Dance but you may hear the Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Lil Nas X - OLD TOWN ROAD.

About
Paul Filek is a Canadian Singer Songwriter from Kamloops, BC who's released three albums and one Ep since 2006. As well as being a Top 40 Canadian Idol Finalist in 2007 (Top 20 Male), he has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great artists including INXS, CARLY RAE JEPSEN, ZIGGY MARLY, STYX, TROOPER, JULLY BLACK, and many more.
In 2020 you can Find Paul performing nightly at some of Vancouver’s Hottest and most vibrant lounges. If he is not on stage with his band OK!FUN! you will find him making his own ‘live off the floor’. Using a Looper Pedal, he produces a one man band to accompany him inspired only by his guitar, vocals, and imagination. Covering a wide range of music you can hear him playing Top 40/Alt Rock/Pop.
