I am a full time piper with 100's upon 100's of events under my belt. With over 25 years of experience I can make an event meaningful and memorable.
I always arrive early and come dressed in appropriate kilt outfit for the occasion.
Last minute changes are not a problem and I can help plan what would work best for your event.
The Great Highland Bagpipes are usually the pipes that are requested but I can also provide you with Scottish Smallpipes for a quieter backgound or even provide you with piping with Digital Bagpipes for indoor or even outdoor areas where volume could be an issue.
We were lucky to have found Paul for our memorial. Would highly recommend him.
Look no further Paul is a professional. He showed up early and played beautiful music for my grandmothers funeral.
I appreciate so much Paul playing for my grandmothers funeral.
It happened suddenly so I didn’t have time to plan. I also wasn’t up to making any major decisions. There was so much trust that I had for a complete stranger who protected that trust and took care of my grandmothers last moments. Not only did Paul make it completely effortless, he played at the perfect time and played beautiful music.
I don’t know how to thank you enough Paul. Everyone came to me and said it was the classiest funeral they had been to, and it was because of you. If you ever need anything you have a Scottish Fam for life!
Paul Watson is fabulous. Personable, talented, authentic kilt outfit.
Paul arrived early and was professional and courteous. He played a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace for my mother-in-law's graveside service; she would have loved it
My mom's last wish was for a bagpipes to perform Amazing Grace as the last song for her funeral, and to play as people walked to their cars from graveside.
To say that Paul pulled off her wishes would be an understatement. This was not just a gig for Paul. He played for my mom from his heart. My sister and I shared a small as he slowly turned and walked away during the second and third stanzas of Amazing Grace as if he and his pipes were escorting her home. Paul accorded himself as if he were family...and I will be forever grateful for that.
My daughter got married on St Patrick’s Day. Paul did such a wonderful job. It was a treat to have a bagpiper during the wedding ceremony. It was all the talk around the wedding guests. Paul was so patient with me and the many changes we made during the planning stage. The wedding was at a replica of a Irish castle so having Paul and his bagpipes was just the extra thing we needed to make the wedding so special. I would highly recommend Paul. He is the best.
Mr Watson was very professional .showed up 30 min before my fathers service. My family and I was in a bind trying to find a bagpiper for firefighter funeral. Sent an email to Mr Watson and we had a reply within minutes. Service went over the time we had booked and he would not let us pay him. He was very understanding.Highly recommended!
Paul did a super outstanding job. He was early for my wife`s memorial service. Was ready when it was time. He showed great respect to our family and friends. You can`t go wrong hiring Paul any event. Everyone only had g great things to say about his performance.
Waymon
Paul was extremely good with communication prior to the burial service and offered his condolences. You could tell this is more than just a "gig" for him. It is a moment that is extremely difficult for those who loved the deceased and he displayed great respect and honor during his performance. He is especially the right choice for a military funeral and his music and actions made it obvious that he understood our loss.
Very professional and very accommodating and very reasonable. He was dressed in the appropriate attire. Highly recommended his service. Thanks
Paul played for my mother’s memorial service. He was outstanding to say the least. I received so many compliments on his performance. In planning for the event, Paul was very professional and a strong communicator and arrived before scheduled to discuss any last minute plans or changes to the program. I can honestly say that I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
Paul did an awesome job playing Amazing Grace at my husband’s memorial service. We had a last minute change of plans and Paul was able to accommodate all changes and did a beautiful job playing the bagpipes. Would definitely recommend and contract again in the future.
Paul was at the D/FW National Cemetery an hour prior to the funeral ceremony. He’s was fully prepared and did an outstanding job. As the service ended he played Amazing Grace, and that really made for the perfect touch, the final salute to our brother in arms.
I booked Paul last minute for my dad’s funeral when the funeral home couldn’t provide one (my dad had requested one). Paul was extremely helpful; all I knew was that I had to have a bagpiper to honor daddy’s request and was quite stressed. Paul did an excellent job at the graveside service and was VERY professional! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. Absolutely must book Paul for any occasion if you want something extraordinary!
Hired Paul for our father’s memorial service. He was amazing. Perfect. Outstanding communication prior to event. Highly recommend
Paul was both professional and quick to respond when messaging. He was very understanding when it came to what my our family desired to be played at my brother-in-law’s memorial service. Paul provided sample pieces and even times on how long each musical piece would be. He was very helpful when needing ideas on Scottish music (my brother-in-law’s favorite) and melding them together. At the service, when Paul played, our family and friends were all in literal awe of him. We all stopped what we were doing and just watched, as it was very moving. I would definitely recommend and use him again in the future.
Paul added the perfect level of professionalism pomp and circumstance to our wreath laying with Amazing Grace. Followed by sounds of the highlands to kick off the “games”. We had 10 days rain prior to event and Paul overcame the environmental conditions . Wonderful job do not hesitate to book Paul
What a stunning performance. My wife’s spirit was overwhelmed as were all of the earthly bound mourners. Thank you for your talents.
Paul was amazing! My husband absolutely loved the bagpipes & so what better way to have a tribute to that at his memorial service. Paul played Amazing Grace as we released lanterns into the sky & I will always cherish that memory! Thank you Paul!

THE FUNERAL PROCESSION
Paul Watson (Bagpiper) led The Family Processional from Illinois Avenue to Bonnie View Road.....Walking & Playing " HIGHLAND CATHEDRAL." 🎼🎶🎵
Just before The Family Procession into the Sanctuary, Paul led 'The Special Guests' procession into the the Sanctuary by so eloquently playing, "AMAZING GRACE" where he continued to play until All Special Guests were seated 🙏
I am still getting calls & texts about Paul Watson 🏆🎶🎵🎼
Paul was very professional. He showed up early and was extremely flexible and accommodating. He provided contact information as soon as he was booked and quickly responded to texts during our planning phase. He is an all around nice guy..
Paul was early and prepared for the memorial service. He did a great job and was very nice and respectful. I will gladly recommend him.
He was great. He went above and beyond to make our vow renewal special. He is very friendly and personable. Plays great!!
Enjoyed the music. Everyone had a blast. Thanks Paul
Paul was wonderful! We hired him to play at a funeral, and the music was beautiful. He traveled a good distance, kept in communication with me the whole time, arrived early, and was overall incredibly kind and accommodating.
Paul Watson's rendition of Amazing Grace was the perfect way to honor our loved one. The rich sounds played by Mr. Watson were absolutely beautiful. Paul was professional and easy to communicate with. We were impressed with his talent and authenticity. We will definitely book him for future events and highly recommend!
Paul was a pinch-hitter for a last-minute request when another bagpiper fell through for my stepfather's funeral. Paul was super responsive, answered any and all questions, was easy to work with, and worked directly with the funeral home, as well, so thatt we did not have to worry about a ton of coordination on arrival, positioning, etc. His placement and performance of Danny Boy and Amazing Grace made for a profound experience for everyone at the funeral and an excellent tribute to my stepdad.
He did a very good job for my family
He was very patient and able to adjust to some changes that were made. Would definitely recommend.
Was very pleased with Paul playing Amazing Grace at the Blessing of the Animals. Weather was beautiful and we were truly Blessed for Paul to be apart of a special day for our animals and owners. Paul did a wonderful job!
Paul arrived early and did everything we asked him to do. Very kind, nice and professional. We appreciate all your help. Thank you from the bottom of our Texas hearts.
Response from Paul Watson:
Thank you for your kind review. It was an honor to play for your mother.
Paul arrived early and stayed much longer than contracted for, which was greatly appreciated. He knew just how close to be too the graveside. It was June 25th and very hot, yet he stayed. His playing made the event memorable.
