I first heard Peggy entertain about two years ago in an assisted living community in Virginia. Two years later, when I decided to host a WWII tribute and 95th birthday party for my stepdad who was on the same ship as General Patton during WWII, I didn't hesitate who I wanted to find for our entertainment. Who better than Peggy Lee to remind us of the rich music history from the big band era. She was prompt, delivered a crowd-pleasing show tailored to my stepdad. Peggy had us all toe tapping to the wonderful big band sounds. She was so in-tune with my stepdad's emotions and engaged conversation with him to ensure he could actually hear what she was singing or saying. What a voice, what a heart - Thank you, Peggy.
All our guests enjoyed Peggy's presentation and entertaining style. My stepdad is legally blind and can only hear out of one ear, but Peggy sang to his good ear and put a smile on his face that will stay with my heart forever. Her entertainment was that 40's upbeat music that just can't be beat. She was engaging in a delightful and entertaining way, a flirty style (which the men always love--especially that very, very red dress, blond hair, and sultry look), She really knows the Big Band era and all the true greats of the period. She also made time to know her audience. I would hire her again without thinking twice for a small party of 10 for a party of 100. She showed up timely, setup, and worked with us to ensure my StepDad could hear her and felt special!
Peggy, he's still smiling such a sweet smile when I ask him what he thought about his party and your singing. Thank you for giving us a memory that will last forever! .
