Overview
Pellejo Seco was founded in Berkeley, California, ten years ago by Ivan Camblor. Their roots are in traditional Cuban music, combining different elements of Latin American, Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, and Jazz sounds. Buena Vista Social Club stile.
With original songs about the live in San Francisco Bay Area. the band has become a powerhouse with the addition of charismatic vocalist Sulkary Valverde, who hails from Guantanamo

The trio was very friendly. We danced and sang all night! The most authentic Cuban music you will get in the Bay Area! I wouldn’t think twice about hiring them again! Thank you so much for making our family ocasión a memorable one!

Pellejo Seco were phenomenal! They came early and were complete professionals despite the extreme heat! We had a very busy night at our club and they kept the atmosphere energetic and fun. All of our members had a great time dancing and have pleaded with us to have them come back as soon as possible!

I had booked this band for an event that was canceled due to Covid 19. They graciously made themselves available once I was allowed to have them back in a safe (socially distanced) outside location that was less than ideal. But they made it come alive! The audience- in this case seniors- LOVED them, danced along and altogether appreciated their original flavor in the presentation of classic salsa. I WILL have them back and you should too!

Danilo and his musicians played outstanding Cubano style, aka Buena Vista Social Club, that was fun, entertaining and enjoyable. They were on time, communicated well and very friendly. Reasonably priced too. Recommend highly.

Hired Pellejo Seco as a four piece for an adult birthday with 60 guests. They were flat out awesome. Huge energy, amazing musicians and all around nice guys. The party was a huge hit and everyone had a blast dancing. I highly recommend hiring them.

Pellejo Seco came and WOW'd all of our employees, we booked for a corporate event, specifically a lunch event. They were extremely friendly, on-time and well prepared. I would highly recommend for any event especially if you want folks up and dancing...Sulkary (the vocalist) will get you to the dance floor. Big thanks to Danilo!

These guys are authentic cuban entertainers. They love their music and it showed. They were on time and played two great sets of music. We loved having them at our Cuba reunion party. They played many songs that we heard on our recent trip to cuba. Friendly and very engaging with the guests. They communicated wiTh me several times beforehand. Thank you!
