Piccadilly Puppets

We have a variety of puppet shows to choose between, using different styles of puppetry. All are about 30 minutes in length. Recommended age varies slightly, but ranges from 3-10. Several shows feature hand puppets in a booth-style stage. "Wish Tales" is performed on a trunk stood on end, with the puppeteer visible, and uses shadow puppets along with other table-top puppets. "Imagination Station" for preschoolers and Kindergardeners, is a variety show with music, storytelling, puppets and lots of audience participation. Children usually sit on the floor, although we can work with an audience seated in chairs if it suits the event better.
Another option is to hire a strolling puppeteer. We can wander through a crowd manipulating a puppet, interacting with individuals or small groups. Usually we bring more than one puppet and swap out every 20 minutes or so.

Piccadilly Puppets will come to your location with everything necessary for a wonderful puppet theatre experience. We have several shows appropriate for birthday parties for children ages 3-8, as well as shows for other occasions like holiday parties, church celebrations, etc. All we need is a level space, with room for children to sit (preferably on the floor). Shows last about 30 minutes. For a child's birthday party, a small plush hand puppet gift is included.
Optional: we can add a craft, making paper puppets. We can also proved strolling puppetry, either in addition to or instead of a show. We can wander through a crowd manipulating a puppet, interacting with individuals or small groups.
Piccadilly Puppets has been entertaining and educating audiences since 1969. We have three puppeteers, all of whom are professional. We are affiliated with Young Audiences - Woodruff Arts Center, and are on the touring roster for the Georgia Council for the Arts. We have been awarded a citation of excellence from USA Chapter of UNIMA, the international puppetry organization.

The only thing you need to provide is an open space and preferably, electricity. If electricity is not available, we can still perform several of our shows, we just need to know ahead of time to plan accordingly.
For a workshop, table space is needed.
