We're a troupe of Gamblers, Con Men, Bunko Artists and Scoundrels, providing Authentic Old West games of chance and skill, as well as historical characters. We'er perfect for Western and Steampunk events as a stand alone activity or as a part of a fund raising event. We can bring one table or supply an entire evening of games and street theater to create a full emersion Wild West experience. Of course, no actual gambling takes place. We integrate seamlessly with Casino Night Party companies and Old West Re enactors. Fun, educational, authentic and a little edgy, Pico and his Snake Pit of Scoundrels are an unforgettable element for a wide variety of events.
I'm an expert in Old West gambling and cons, having performed at the Calico Ghost Town, the Magic Castle, the Del Mar Fair and many other events. I can be seen on HBO's 'Westworld' and Fox's 'Bones'. My goal is to present an authentic, alternative Wild West experience which thrills, entertains and educates.
We're an ad hoc troupe, our size and make up being dependent on your needs and characters' availability. We can be as as small as one table (typically Faro) or large as an entire Western town. We integrate seamlessly with re enactor groups and Casino Night party companies.
Here are some of our offerings:
Faro - the most popular gambling game in the Old West, dealt by the likes of Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson and Luke Short.
Vingt et Un - the ancestor of modern Black Jack, it's sort of a cross between Black Jack and stud poker.
Grand Hazard & Chuck-a-Luck - related games on which players bet on the outcome of three dice contained in a rotating cage.
Rouge et Noir - a simple card betting game, which was found along the Mississippi River.
Horse Race Wheel Game - A simple but ornate 'prize wheel' with a horse race theme.
Poker - We can provide simple poker games as were played in the West, or Hold 'em (which developed in the 1950s, but is certainly popular). We have a Wild Bill Hickok impersonator who will engage players in a game, as long as Jack McCall isn't among them!
"Soapy" Smith - We have the Great Grandson of the legendary Con Artist and Crime boss. "Soapy" demonstrates the 'shell and pea' game, 'three card monte' and the 'prize soap scam'.
Madam Babs - Our effervescent Madam. She and her ladies are flirtatious, but not very trustworthy!!
Steerers - Our Miss Mabel is awfully good at luring 'suckers' to our tables, and handing out any promotional items.
Other Folk - We have friendships with other impersonators, re enactors, gunfighters, etc, to make your Western event memorable.
