I’m a bagpiper in Milwaukee, and have been playing for 17 years. I play many weddings, funerals, golf outings, parties, and really any event where a piper fits in. I enjoy working with the clients to make their event, whatever kind it is, a successful one.

Mike was super sweet and funny and learned somgs for us and made time to meet up and hear him play. Was in contact all the time and never was anything not talked about. On time and super professional. Would never want to hire any other bagpiper we are so glad we picked him. Made our wedding perfect and very happy about the whole experience!

Mike played for a funeral in Keshena, a three-hour drive from Milwaukee. He worked seamlessly with the military procession, played the requested songs, and at the last minute, added a favorite at the end of the service. Highly recommend Piper Mike.

Piper Mike was truly a blessing to our wedding Venue ...despite the snow squall and all! He was a great surprise for my dad who is an Irishman. He led me in and out for the ceremony and entertained the guests while we took pictures. He is so kind and accommodating. I would suggest him to anyone!

Piper Mike is attentive, caring, and professional. He was very generous with his talent by playing his pipes over zoom so the Bride and Groom could select their music. I can't speak highly enough about "Piper Mike". Great communication, showed up on time, performed beautifully and told the best stories! I hired him as a surprise for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary dinner and my parents enjoyed every minute of it and will talk about it for years to come. Piper Mike will make your day and make your event a huge success . I threw some changes at Piper Mike during our Proper Irish Wake, but he just rolled with it and came up with great ideas of his own as well. Like when he suggested to Irish March all our guests to and from Toasting Site just off the premises. Piper Mike even played an encore, chatted with guests and answered all their questions. I highly recommend Piper Mike, you will not be disappointed.

Mike O’Connell was not only a wonderful bagpipe musician, but a kind and caring man. Words alone cannot begin to say what his music meant to my mother’s funeral. Since my mother’s parents were from Scotland, we knew his playing was authentic and my mother would have loved every minute! He provided several suggestions of music he could play, arrived promptly and greatly enhanced the service with his bagpipe expertise. He even traveled over 100 miles to play at the church, then back to his hometown and then to the cemetery.
On the way to the cemetery, we encountered a horrendous storm and an accident on the road. He was ahead of us on the highway and called several times to alert us of dangers ahead. We then made it to the cemetery and thought we could have the service before it started raining again, but the downpour was horrible. Mike continued to play in the rain as we all got soaked. I will never forget the impact his music made on our event!
As we returned home, Mike sent several messages to make sure we made it safely home. I would highly recommend this bagpipe player to anyone for any event!!!

We had Mike play for our wedding in Milwaukee at the Villa Terrace. Mike was very easy to work with and is a talented bagpiper! We asked him to start and end with Loch Lomond because we were engaged there and it was special to have that be apart of our wedding day. Some of our family from Scotland couldnt join us due to covid travel restrictions but Mike gave our wedding a Scottish feel. I would book him again in a heartbeat, my only regret is not having more time to talk with him afterwards. Thank you so much Mike!

Mike was so great to work with. He was totally flexible when we were making last minute changes to my grandfather's funeral service. It was such a powerful element in the memorial service we had, to have him play Amazing Grace as the family was standing up to exit. My grandfather had always wanted Amazing Grace to play at his funeral, but having it played on the bagpipes took it up to a different level of soulfulness.

Mike came around the corner of the house and into the backyard in his kilt playing Scotland the Brave on his bagpipes. He was friendly, professional and top-notch on the pipes. This was a graduation party for our daughter and he even played a sensational On Wisconsin. This was a unique, fun and memorable event for everyone there and a special experience for our family. Piper Mike provided the most memorable (pre) Father's Day gift for my Dad. My siblings and I gathered in a backyard and Piper Mike was incredibly generous with his time and talent. I created a set list which he added to, interspersing stories in between song sets. it was really fabulous--my Dad and everyone just loved it! Piper Mikes was beyond gracious when we changed the address and it required him to drive an additional hour. He is a wonderful piper with a great sense of humor, lots of stories and charm--the absolute perfect gift I could've ever given my Dad. Bagpipes make your family celebration feel regal. We hired Mike to surprise my husband for his birthday. My daughter had gotten him a plot of land in Scotland with a "lordship" title for fun. We hired a bagpiper to play during the gift presentation. It was awesome! To watch my husbands face as he can't see Mike and the bagpipe starts was priceless!
Mike was SO accommodating! He sent a list of song ahead of time, had amazing communication and did not disappoint! The music was good and we will never forget this. IF you need a bagpiper, you really need Mike!

I would strongly recommend Piper Mike to anyone looking to here some beautifully played bagpipes. He made it to a funeral with 3 days notice and drove hours to get there. He made organizing with the song choices and timing of the music very easy. And the nicest of guy too! Thank you again Mike

Mike is a class act, everyone really enjoyed his bagpipe music. We danced to the Irish jig, sang and clapped along to some songs. Mike played many popular songs as well, On Wisconsin for our University Badger students , the Star Wars Theme for our Star Wars fans along with some really interesting stories that go to some of the songs, Mike was fantastic. Even though I was not able to attend the festivities, Mike provided the perfect "surprise guest" for my granddaughter's wedding. He was the hit of the ceremony since no one knew he would be there. He visited the venue the day before the event, consulted with the mother of the bride and between all of them pulled off a moment my granddaughter and my new grandson will never forget. Mike consulted with me from day one all thru the ceremony. I have some great pictures and great memories now. I am in Florida and the wedding was in Oconomowoc. I wanted a surprise for her and it was grand!

Mike was an outstanding edition to my daughters wedding!! He played at the very end of the mass after the couple was announced as husband and wife. He played for the processional. It was a surprise to all attendees! As he marched up the isle to meet the Bride and Groom he played Kerry Dance and after bowing to the Bride and Groom he turned and marched them out to, Ode to Joy. It was outstanding and the many Irish and Scottish relatives on both sides of the family were moved to tears. He continued to play outside many Irish tunes. I highly recommend him for any event. He is very professional and went out of his way to meet all of our needs. Many attendees commented on how impressed they were with his performance. Thank you Mike!!!
