Eric has had performances at countless public and private functions over the last 32 years include such events as weddings, anniversaries, funerals, corporate and professional golfing events.
Career highlights include piping in the American & European teams at the Opening ceremonies of the 95 Ryder Cup Golf Tournament, US Open at Pinehurst Country Club, played with and for celebrities such as Ewan Mc Gregor and Sean Connery, and well known Celtic bands such as Enter the Haggis, Flogging Molly, The Dady Brothers, Seven Nations and more. Eric has coordinated, organized and led the pipe band performances and organized athletes for the annual Highland Fling Celtic weekend at the Renaissance F
Not only was Eric Albert a kind, compassionate and professional man, there was not a dry eye to be found at the funeral. You can not go wrong booking Eric for any event that you might want a bagpiper. I highly recomment him and thank him from the entierty of my heart.
Marco made an outstanding performance during the wedding ceremony. He and Brian Campbell, the drummer, made our event very special.
The perfect addition to my Mom's 92nd birthday party. Our gathering included guests ranging in age from 2 to 95. Eric was persoable, well prepared and related to all guests; he was very accomodating as we made on-the-fly adjustments as the party progressed to assure all guests young and old had a good time.
Hired Pipes of Peace to play at my husband's Celebration of Life event and was very happy with the outcome. Everything went well and the music was just what my husband would have wanted. Thank You!
Eric was tremendous!
Eric did a fantastic job piping our daughters wedding at The Griffin House in Hood River! He was so great to work with and had great suggestions. Beautiful and unique music for the ceremony.
He was prompt, friendly, and on it!
Eric was an awesome addition to my senior prank. I had him play for just a short time, but during that time he rocked the whole school. He marched the NEHS halls like a champ and gave the students a time to remember. He has clear communication, affordability, and is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend and will be reaching out in the future in the event that I will have bagpipe needs again.
Eric really made our wedding day special. He was communicative, showed up at the agreed time, and was friendly and great to talk to. We highly recommend him for your events!
I was so honored to have Eric play for the very special occasion. My cousin went missing in 1980 and was identified 40 years later. Tamara Lee Tigard, (April 18, 1959 - March or April 1980) previously known as "Lime Lady" was a young woman found murdered in 1980 in Oklahoma. She received her nickname from the quicklime poured over her body in an attempt to quicken decomposition, which had actually mummified her and preserved evidence. Eric was quick to respond with excellent communication up until the day we finally burred Tammy with her parents. Im forever grateful!

Great service and very easy to work with.
Excellent service. Very professional and conscientious. 10/10 would recommend.
My wife and i loved Erics performance on the beach . The sound of the waves and the sunset in the background was the perfect touch . Everyone came out on their balconies to listen and applaud. Seemed like everyone enjoyed it.
Wonderful !
Eric was great. Bandon Dunes even posted it to their Instagram.
Response from Pipes of Peace:
Thanks John, sincere pleasure playing for you and your group!
Loved the Patriotic theme of the group and blazers!
Cheers,
Eric
Eric went above and beyond playing his bagpipes at my stepdad’s memorial service. In addition to playing Amazing Grace for us, he also provided a couple of pieces that he doesn’t ordinarily have to play and did everything beautifully. He was there ahead of time and my family got the opportunity to speak with him. He is a lovely gentleman and he and his music both uplifted the occasion. I and my family are very grateful for his participation in this important family event.
Eric was amazing. There wasn't a dry eye in the house. He is so great.
Response from Pipes of Peace:
Priscilla, Thank you for the kind review. It was entirely my honor to play for Kenneth. I loved the calmness of the sailboats on Kenneths' Memorial service bulletin. I designed and built wooden sailboats for years on the east coast and have such wonderful memories of sailing on calm seas. I am blessed to able to share Gods gift of music with you and your guests.
My father wished to have a solo bagpiper play "Amazing Grace" at his burial. I was able to secure Eric (Pipes of Peace) on fairly short notice, and we were very pleased with all aspects of the performance. We requested a couple of other songs, one of which was not a tune typically played on the pipes, but Eric tried to work up an arrangement of it anyway. He arrived early, coordinated with the minister, played as family arrived, then finished the service by playing "Amazing Grace" as he walked off into the distance. It was wonderfully stirring, and I'm sure exactly as my father imagined it would be.
The piper was on time and played my request of Amazing Grace along with other music while people arrived for the service. He wore a kilt even though it was very cold. He did a fine job.
He was amazing on time very polite played awesome songs and took pictures with my mom after the event super great entertainment thank you I would recommend Eric the bagpiper Any time for your party events
Response from Pipes of Peace:
Thanks Dawn! Your Glaswegian mum was pure delight. Lovely to see her doing a bit of a highland fling!
When my best friend passed. He requested a wake w bagpipes.
I found pipes of peace for the event. He met every expectations.
The event was a huge hit mainly due to his playing.
Well done!
My friend was supposed to go to Edinburgh for her 50th birthday. Obviously not able to go, we wondered how we could bring a little bit of Scotland to her. Pipes of Peace travelled a long distance to play for two people. He played on the street while his little son, in matching kilt, marched beside him with a Scottish flag. My friend cried her eyes out. It was incredibly touching and worth every penny. I highly recommend Pipes of Peace!
This is our fourth year of inviting Pipes of Peace to perform at our annual event and Eric never fails to disappoint. He is a prolific storyteller and his piping is extraordinary. Having Eric join us and share tales of the stories and history around the songs he plays is the highlight of our event. We can't recommend him enough.
Came on time and did a fantastic job. Very respectful of last minute requests- Looked so handsome in his kilt!
Eric showed up on time, in full regalia, playing his pipes as he walked up the road to the venue for my wife's75th birthday party. She was so moved she burst into tears. His music was enjoyed by all, and even inspired some scottish dancing. He was pleasant and anxious to please. Would recommend him highly.
I can’t tell you how special the pipes were to my wife, Sandi on her 70th birthday! She melted into tears. She’s a 1st generation Scot, far from her homeland and Eric took her back home for a wee while.

Very happy with Eric, he was very helpful in handling the event.
My sister Colleen and I had been successful in gathering our clan of 35 to Bend for the O'CONNOR FAMILY REUNION.But I wanted something to make this event a special experience! As a surprise I contacted ,through this great GIGSALAD site, PIPES OF PEACE.My review is 100% satisfaction . The man , his music, his professionalism and kind demeanor all added up to a beautiful background for our treasured family reunion!
I booked Eric for my father's service in March 2016. He arrived early in the family plaid and was very professional in our requests for music choices and entry into and out of the service at the cemetery. He does a beautiful job playing the bag pipes.
I booked Eric of Pipes of Peace for my husband's birthday party. The plan was for him to arrive at dusk and play the pipes at the top of a vineyard through sunset. Eric was prompt, professional, courteous and absolutely lovely to work with. And that has nothing to do with his phenomenal piping skills! The crowd was mesmerized and he played gorgeously throughout the evening. He charmed us with some gaelic toasts, played my husband's Clan song, wore the appropriate tartan, and told great historical stories of Scotland. It was truly a magical close to a fun party and Eric was patient and played much longer than we'd anticipated. We were very lucky to have him join us and I'd book him again in a minute.
We hired Pipes of Peace for our fathers memorial service. We were completely amazed at how beautiful he sounded. They were so helpful and professional in guiding us through this very difficult time. The owner of the funeral home said "I have heard many Bagpipes over the years, but none as wonderful as him". We feel blessed to have found Pipes of Peace. I'm sure our father was quite pleased. Thank you so much for making a difficult day a little easier.

When selecting Eric to play for your event, professionalism, client satisfaction and traditional Scottish Heritage and traditions are key to any successful performance.
After contacting Eric, either Eric or his wife Krysta will promptly connect with you to get a clear understanding if what you are looking to achieve by his performance. Eric can provide you with a tune list of more than 200 tunes and make some suggestions given the type of event you have. He can also provide audio samples of his piping. If you ave a specific tartan or color theme, Eric has a variety of kilts and styles you can choose from. This can be the formal Prince Charlie tailed jacked and flyplaid, to a traditional olde world Scottish look to a Rennasaince Faire look. Many options, depending on the formality of your event.
After the details are firmed up, Eric requires a 50% performance deposit payment via credit card, money order, or personal check. Then, approximately 2-3 days prior to the event, Eric or Krysta will give you a call or email you to confirm and send the final payment invoice. The balance is required no more than 24 hours prior to the event, This eliminates the necessity of what can be awkward when asking for the remainder when the festivities are set to begin.
The day of the event Eric or Krysta will send a text, email or call to let you know he is enroute.
Eric arrives 30-45 minutes prior to the event to get final choreography details and make any change to tune selections, if desired.
Thats it! Eric offers a level of professionalism and attention not often experienced in piping.
