Events I have had experience with in my career include: hayrides, hoedowns, corporate parties, church groups, youth groups/parties, weddings/receptions, family reunions, graduation parties, high school senior nights, etc.
Paul was great. The seniors loved it. Some of them squared danced in their younger years. Lots of laughter.
He instructed first and then called all and was so much fun….even the men, who hate looking stupid had a great time. A great night.

Paul was on time and provided everything necessary to provide square dancing for our company picnic. Unfortunately, there were so many other activities at our event that he had minimal participation. I would highly recommend Paul for your event and maybe have participants sign up in advance so that they are available and out on the dance floor.

Thank you for the review. Unfortunately that is one of the issues that happens when you have SO MANY things going on at the same time. Maybe in the future it would be better to either start or end with the square dance instead of just having it be. a drop in type activity so that people are directed towards it a little better.

We booked Paul for a Daddy-Daughter Girl Scout event and he was amazing. He got everyone up dancing and having a great time. We are going to make this an annual thing every year and look forward to working with him again.

We hired Paul for our Senior All Night Party. He was great! The kids had a lot of fun. He even got kids out there who said they'd never do it, but they saw so many other classmates having fun that they joined in too. We would highly recommend him. It was a great time had by all those who danced and all who just watched.

After setting up my sound equipment (approximately 20-30 minutes prior to the start of the event), I will begin teaching and calling basic square dancing movements to your group. I progress in movements as the event goes on always reteaching the previous movements to the new joiners as we go. Dancing sets are generally 15-20 minutes in length followed by a short 5 min. break in which I play music. This will continue for the duration of the event (generally 1.5 hours works best in my experience). I break up the event with a little bit of very simple line dancing as well as an old time square dance (aka the Virginia Reel) too. Dancing works best for ages 12+ although I have worked with much younger ages as long as they are dancing with an adult partner.
Professional Square Dance Caller/Instructor as well as a retired middle school teacher so I understand how to teach those who don't dance to have fun learning! I provide all of my own audio equipment (speakers, amplifier, microphone, etc.) and only need an electrical outlet nearby, cold drinking water available and a table to setup on (card table size or larger).
