I have a wide variety of music to entertain your guests - from classical hits to modern pop songs and everything in between! I am known for my punctuality - I am always early to set-up and chat with the event planner or wedding officiant to make sure we are all on the same page. I usually dress in all "concert black" unless wearing a certain color is requested. Usually the only thing I need is a chair - leave the rest up to me!
I have been performing violin at weddings since I was 16 years old! I started playing violin at age 11 and by high school I was competing and performing in all kinds of orchestras, including the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. I majored in Music Education at St. Olaf College where I was a member of the prestigious St. Olaf Orchestra for all of my 4 years there. Since then I have continued performing for weddings, corporate events, private parties, church services, life celebrations, gala fundraisers, and more!
I play a wide variety of styles - including but not limited to: classical, folk, fiddle (Irish/Scandinavian/American), classic rock, pop, oldies, R&B, and film music. Any song you can imagine - I can either find the sheet music, or "arrange" the music for violin if the sheet music is not available.
Besides being one of the best violinists around town, I pride myself in offering the highest possible level of customer service - from the first point of contact - until your event is done!
This includes:
-Punctuality - arriving early to your event for set-up and logistics discussion
-Prompt Messaging - responding to your emails/texts the same day they are received
-Collaboration - with your wedding/event coordinator or officiant, including communication before the event when needed
-Music Selection - unlimited assistance choosing the perfect wedding ceremony song, or curating the perfect song list for your cocktail hour or other event
For an outdoor event - there must be cover or an alternative "rain plan" in case of rain. (Violins can't get wet!) Violins also need protection from cold - if the temperature is below 60 degrees it is uncomfortable to play violin (cold fingers!), and if the temp gets much lower than that - the instrument can crack and cause lots of damage.
Amplification - for smaller events or ceremonies a mic is not usually needed - unless you have hired a videographer and they require a mic to record sound. In that case - they or the DJ/MC should provide amplification for the violin. Larger events - such as a big reception party, would benefit from amplification and that should be provided by the client/venue.

I love performing non-traditional pieces on the violin and can take special requests!
Outdoor Events - Please provide some kind of shade from the hot sun. In case of rain please have an alternative plan ready to prevent damage to instruments.
Amplification may be needed for larger events. I have a special violin microphone that can plug into most DJ sound systems/amps.
