I’m sure Randy is great for all occasions, but he performed at my 25th birthday in front of 30-40 people all in our mid-20s. His magic was very good, he got along really well with the crowd and he did a great job making everyone feel like they were part of the show
He was also very responsive, punctual, required basically nothing from me and had no issues performing in my small NYC apartment

We highly recommend Randy for a kid's birthday party! He arrived early with his assistant Angela and performed magic tricks for one hour to a group of about 18 children. Randy has a great sense of humor and was able to engage the group for the whole time. He could not have been easier to deal with from the first contact email. Professional all the way. He does some great close-up magic tricks, is funny and had the adults entertained as well. Great guy and worth it! His assistant Angela also is very patient with kids, even if they get a little rowdy!
Randy performed magic for us at my sister's 25th birthday brunch at her apartment in Williamsburg and it was TOTAL hit!! He is great at reading his audience and had some magic tricks that we still have no clue how he did! We are all in our mid/late 20s and Randy was the hit of the party and made our brunch something to remember. I would recommend hiring Randy for anyone of all ages, he's awesome!

We had Randy over for my daughter's five years birthday party. It's a blast! All the kids loved him! He is very warm, very funny, very reliable person. He (and Angela) showed up perfectly on time, did a wonderful show. In the end, my girl asked me:"mom, may I invite Randy over again on my 6th birthday?" So sweet!
I would recommend Randy for any party that could use an entertainer. We invited him to perform his magic for our Grandparents Day celebration and he captured the attention of all age groups.
Randy did a great job entertaining the guests at my 30th birthday party. He was funny, cool, professional and very entertaining. He walked around the party performing various tricks for small groups of guests...and everyone seemed to have really enjoyed it...even at one point a group was chanting his name, haha! It livened up the early hours of the party, and I'd definitely recommend him.
We hired Randy recently for our daughter's 10th birthday. We hadn't met him before, but he came highly recommended by another party professional, and we checked him out online. At the party, he surpassed our expectations! We didn't want a magic show that would take over the whole party so we hired him to do "walk-around magic." We loved how he just kind of quietly set up his stuff, started talking to a couple of kids, and the next thing we knew, he was doing magic, and a whole crowd of kids formed around him. Perfect!

We hired Randy to provide entertainment to a group of 15-20 children ages 3-13 at an otherwise adult family Christening Party. Randy and his assistant arrived on time, set up an area in the crowded restaurant, and had the kids interested right away. He used additional "assistants" from the audience, including my 5 year old daughter, who had a lot of fun and was still talking about Randy and his tricks the next day. He also included some giveaways for the children, as well as balloon animals and objects. Overall I would recommend Randy for a children's party and I bet his adult shows are good also.

I do "walk-around" (or strolling) magic, a stand-up show (where audience is seated during the whole show), or a combination of both (first half of event walk-around magic, and second half a stand-up show). I use plenty of audience participation, and lots of humor!
Randy Masters is an experienced magician with several film and TV credits under his belt, including being the party magician on the HBO pilot, "40," the Telethon Magician on NBC's "Parks and Recreation," the escape artist on Cinemax's "The Knick" (director Steven Soderbergh) and starring as Clown Uncle Matt in the movie "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer." He was also recently hired to be the "Magic Tech Advisor" for Ben Stiller's movie, "While We're Young." CLOSE-UP/STROLLING MAGIC: Intimate and personal magic performed for small groups of guests while strolling at a corporate event, cocktail parties, receptions, a pre-dinner "warm-up" idea, or at dinner tables before or after the meal. Also known as "walk-around magic." Great on its own or when combined with a stage show for a banquet. Randy does strolling magic with cards, coins, borrowed bills, silks, dice, borrowed rings, ropes, spoon and key bending, mind reading effects, and much more.
PARLOR MAGIC SHOW: A smaller stage or platform show that is a combination of stage and sleight of hand magic. Great for a hospitality suite, dinner party, small theater, house party, or other smaller venues. (Suitable for 15-100 people.)
STAGE SHOW: A fun and interactive combination of magic, comedy, mentalism, and plenty of audience participation. For this show, Randy (accompanied by his assistant, Angela) performs magic and mind reading with cards, ropes, bottles, balloons, newspapers, coins, eggs, potatoes, rings, borrowed bills, and much more. Great for club meetings and banquets. The stage show includes both magic and mind reading effects. Suitable for 80 to 600 people.
MENTALISM ACT: Mind reading at its best! The range of his abilities includes ESP; mind reading (telepathy); psychokinesis (spoon, fork, and key bending); newspaper predictions; clairvoyance; mental magic; blindfold routines, and the power of psychological suggestion. The types of tests in a typical performance can include asking participants to concentrate on subjects they would like to share: drawings, names of friends, children, pets, phone numbers, and locations. Your audience will be amazed!
