You can expect an on time professional musician. With high quality equipment. During the set up time, I focus on communicating closely with the event planner to make sure I have covered all areas of concerns. I also do a short sound check. testing all equipment.
During the show you can expect to hear some of the best songs from the last 50 years. I can perform an acoustic version for mellower moments during the event or I can rock it up with my world class back up tracks that will keep people dancing.
I dress accordingly. If it is a formal engagement, I will wear a tie, if it is a relaxed party atmosphere I will wear something Hip. A beach party, I'm in shorts. But you will not see me wearing those same shorts to your formal reception.
Performing for audiences all over Western Canada and the United States, Ray's show is the perfect addition to any event that live music, featuring a one person performer would enhance. Favorite songs from the 60 to the 90's with a few 50's songs thrown in for good measure. From Country to Classic Rock to the soul-full sounds of Motown, requests are always welcome! All equipment is provided and an on time, professional look is presented.
Working for a Tribute Band production company for 15 years, Ray has performed on big stages and small venue's as a bass player and back up singer, paying tribute to Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, Rod Stewart, Elvis, Buddy Holly, and different Country Music Bands like The Dixie Chicks.
As a singing guitar player, Ray has performed in local breweries, pubs and lounges playing hits from The Eagles, Paul Simon, Sting, The Beatles, Tom Petty, James Taylor, Jimmy Buffet, and many other artists. The song list is very extensive. Taking requests is always fun. Watching people sing along with there favorite songs is a common sight to see.
My show is fully self contained. I use a Professional quality BOSE PA System Upon Request, I can provide Lights and a black back drop that high lights the live music area. This all depends on where your reception is being held. In Doors or Out side? All I require is a Power outlet no more then 15 feet away from the stage area.
I also request a changing area. This does not need to be fancy. Just a small room with a chair and a place to hang clothes.
Water and light snacks are appreciated but not necessary.
