Rejuno (Régy de la Cruz-Abraham) is a Canadian-Haitian singer, songwriter, storyteller, poet, and visual artist based in Ottawa/Gatineau. Born in Montreal and raised in Haiti, Rejuno’s musical journey has been shaped by his family’s deep artistic roots. His uncle, CheChe, a professional rock and blues guitarist, and his sister, Ludmilla, a classical guitarist, were early influences, while his mother, Carmita, nurtured his love for classical and Renaissance music.
A classically trained baritone and tenor, Rejuno has over 17 years of choir experience, including six years with the University of Ottawa Choir Ensemble. His multilingual abilities allow him to perform fluently in Italian, Latin, German, Russian, Spanish, English, Creole, French, Hebrew, and more.
While rooted in classical music, Rejuno’s passion extends to R&B, soul, Zouk, and Kompa, drawing inspiration from artists like John Legend, Bill Withers, Ray Charles, and Craig David.
