An audience member can expect great musical performance, but beyond a variety of song styles, my desire is that hearts are touched. It is my desire to connect with people, lift spirits and point them to the life changing power of Jesus Christ. My music will include worship music, original songs, classic hymns, progressive southern gospel and more. I sing with musical tracks and/or keyboard.
As far as speaking topics, Rhonda enjoys speaking about the hope we have in Christ in the here and now as well as the future. Rhonda believes Christ desires a close relationship with humanity. It is her desire to help people understand God's love, mercy and grace and to inspire them to trust Him with every aspect of life. No-one is beyond God's help, forgiveness and reconciliation if they truly desire it.
In 2000, Rhonda Frye surrendered her heart and life to the Lord and vowed to follow Christ everywhere He saw fit to lead her. It has been a journey! Since then, God called Rhonda into full-time ministry, gave her the gift of songwriting, writing and speaking. She has served in many musical roles since then.
Rhonda took a part time position as a worship leader in a local church in 2007, and by 2009 and she released her first album and toured as a solo artist. In 2012 she formed the trio, Rhonda Frye & Riverside.
By 2015, God opened the door for Rhonda to serve full-time as a worship leader and felt the call to pursue ordination. After several years of ministry preparation through Nazarene Bible College, she was ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in May 2021. Rhonda now serves as worship pastor in the local church and is the Women's Clergy director on the Georgia District. Rhonda is also an avid writer with articles published in STANDARD, Singing News Magazine, CCM Magazine, SGNScoops Magazine, A Plain Account as well as personal blogs.
Rhonda tries her best to be faithful with her God-given multi-talents and enjoys leading worship, writing songs, preaching, teaching and speaking. Rhonda is a great fit and is available for a variety of events such as concerts, conferences, retreats, and special services. Because she serves at her church on a weekly basis, she is not available on Sunday mornings.
We like to talk with the pastor or worship pastor of the church to find out the musical preferences of the congregation. We try to consider the listening audience and choose a set list that best suits the needs of the congregation or audience wherever we are.
The beauty of working in the industry, I (Rhonda) have the opportunity to glean from the best of the best through personal conversations. I've been influenced greatly by Krissy Nordoff, Joel Lindsey, Gloria Gaither, Allison Speer, Ernie Haase, Joyce Martin, Kenna Turner West, Sue C. Smith, Natalie Grant, and many many more! These wonderful songwriters, friends or artists have taught me to be unique, true to myself and the calling on my life. Not to be like anyone other than who God made me to be.
My pastor, Joe Brown, has also had an immense influence on my life. I also admire Pastor Tara Beth Leech, Dr. Carla Sunberg (GS Church of the Nazarene) as well as Dr. Nina Gunter.
