Rich Sax is a smooth Sinatra style singer who has been performing at restaurants, country clubs, yacht clubs, private parties and retirement communities in and around San Diego, and has developed quite a following. He has regular restaurant engagements that he appears in (DiMilles Italian Restaurant, etc.) He has a smooth baritone vocal delivery for high-end venues of listening, dining, or dancing. Rich Sax' sweet-toned voice, whether providing unobtrusive background music or lively swing, performs romantic melodies of the Great American Songbook, Swing-era Jazz, and Broadway tunes – music that is intimate and sophisticated, heart warming and timeless.
Rich Sax and his keyboard accompanist, Johnny, were Fantastic! Rich was more than helpful in working with me to plan the evening's entertainement - a private dinner for 13 at a hotel wine cellar. His singing and personality helped make the entire evening work - he was totally flexible with timing, song selection - and acted as our emcee as well. I would not hesitate to recommend him!
Rich and his fellow performers provided music for a 50th Wedding Anniversary party this summer and it went off without a hitch! Rich was very professional, thorough, immediately responsive to communication, and did his very best to make the night special. Highly recommend!

Rich and his keyboardist were the perfect match for my surprise marriage proposal. They sounded great and they made the evening fun, exciting, and romantic…. Just perfect! Prior to the surprise, Rich put my mind at ease because he was always in contact and I had no doubt that he would be there on time and deliver the performance that I needed. He was so easy to work with and he gave me some great suggestions when it came to choosing just the right songs. They went above and beyond to help make the surprise a success. They were literally like ninja musicians the way they set up their equipment in near silence and darkness! Rich has been active in the San Diego community and Southland area for the past eight years. He is professionally trained and works as a Duo all the way to a Full Band. He works with every budget and type of situation where entertainment is desired. Rich works as a Duo with very talented keyboard players which simulate the sound of a rythum section (drums and bass). Rich aslo reguarly appears with live drums and bass and a horn section. Rich works for one or more hours depending on the need for entertainment. Rich hails from Chicago and has been in San Diego for the last 30 years. He has worked at many fine dining establishments (Bing Crosby's, DiMilles Italian, Canapes San Marcos), Yacht Clubs (Mission Bay Yacht Club, Southwestern Yacht Club, etc.), County Clubs (Stoneridge County Club, Escondido Country Club, Rancho Bernardo Country Club, etc.), Retirement Homes (Seacrest, LaVida Real, The Orchard, Wesley Palms, etc.) and too many private parties to mention. Rich has also served as the mainline entertainment at political functions of all types. Working with Rich is care free. He only needs an electrical outlet, carries an extension cord, and takes it all from there. Dealing with Rich is worry and stress free.
