Marilyn Miller and Rick Warren play acoustic-electric originals, classic rock, and folk tunes for you to listen to, sing along with, and enjoy! Marilyn writes, sings powerfully, and plays rhythm guitar while Rick provides wonderfully tasteful accompaniment and solos. The songs you can choose from are listed in their bio, and they will learn your special song, (given adequate time to prepare)! They have all their own equipment, including battery powered amplification if needed, so you have only to provide electricity and a place to stand. Please let them know if they can make music for you!! They love playing!! They can also add a band or do a Neil Young Tribute.
Rick and Marilyn received rave reviews from our group.
Response from Rick Warren and Marilyn Miller:
Thank you! You are a great host!
Price Range: $100/hr, $50/new song requested
Gig Length: 10 - 240 minutes

This is a guitar-based duo. Marilyn is a passionate singer and Rick is a wizard on guitar! They do covers from the 40's to recent, with an emphasis on 60's and 70's. Marilyn also writes songs and the originals are melodic blues, rock and folk pieces. They love and encourage audience participation when it seems appropriate, but are also certainly happy to be background music for your event.
We are also able to provide live online events or pre-recorded videos of your songs. We are fully tech-enabled.
They have all their own equipment and can play unplugged or plugged in-- you make that call! They can do a set for you like a concert, or be the background music for your party. Given adequate time to do a good job, they can learn your special song!
Rick Warren's guitar and Marilyn Millers vocal's at your next event will truly bring smiles. They offer a wide range of musical styles including folk, rock, blues, Americana, classic covers and wonderful originals. Rick tells the emotional story on the guitar while Marilyn powerfully sings the songs. Depending on your needs, they can do covers, originals, sing-alongs, instrumentals, and/or play a Neil Young tribute. They usually perform as a duo, but can also muster a full band. Their love for the music will shine!
We also do online live events!
They haven't won any awards because they don't submit to contests.... music is not a competitive sport. However, they always get asked back to play again, they are a go-to duo in their community, and they are well known and respected by other working musicians.
You won't be disappointed.
For our duo: We have battery powered amps as well as a full PA, and also can play with no amplification as your event dictates. We would need electrical power for the PA. Likely this is obvious, but if the event is at night outside, we would require you to light the stage area and if during the day or any inclement weather, we would need shelter for ourselves and our equipment. If inside, an area large enough for two people to stand with mics, a speaker and guitars.
If you want us as a band, let's discuss. We have a drummer and bass player on call!
Finally, we are fully able to provide you with live online music.

Rick Warren | Guitar |
Marilyn Miller | Vocals, Rhythm Guitar |
Guitarist Rick Warren, influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Larry Coryell, Karl Berger and John McLaughlin, also plays with a Motown Band, as well as supporting Slink Moss in ‘The Magic Stones’ and creating Soundscape compositions of his own. He has a reputation for giving the song exactly what it needs, telling ‘the rest of the story’ with his soulful, melodic solos.
Singer-songwriter Marilyn Miller was known for leading Open Jams at venues in Hudson for many years. These days, when not with Rick, you will find her performing solo, with the loosely organized Hudson Busk in the Hudson streets, the bluegrass band Beer Stained Fiddle, and as a duo with Betsi Krisniski. Her strengths lie in her powerful voice and melodic arrangements of her own tunes and the covers she loves.
