Robert Richter is an exceptional singer/songwriter and guitarist performing a wide variety of styles and genres from Soft Rock, Pop, Rock, Country, Celtic, Americana, Blues from the 50's to the present and more performing as a solo, with his fiddle player as a duo or with his full band.
He has recorded numerous albums both in the Americana and Celtic genres and writes songs and performs cover songs, original compositions and instrumental music. His music has been featured on regional FM radio and he has performed numerous times on KGW-TV Ch 8 the NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon.
A fine singer, in 2023 he performed the national anthem at the Hillsboro Hops pro baseball games.

As a performer and entertainer it is important to understand the type audience you are performing for. With decades of experience and a large catalog of songs and stories I have performed for many types of audiences and have songs to cover different genres and styles. From a wedding to a reunion to background at an event I have the music ready to go. And being professional is important and I always consider myself part of the team at the venue where I am hired to perform. Always on time and prepared and able to adjust if necessary.
Portland singer/songwriter/guitarist Robert Richter is an energetic performer creating music blending different genres from folk to blues to rock played with passion and energy as solo, duo or with his band. His latest album featuring his original songs is titled “Late Night Radio”
Richter has been performing around the NW for decades with appearances at festivals and concert venues around the region and enjoys connecting with audiences with his smile and sense of humor. He truly loves people.
He's performed with his band at Portland’s Aladdin Theater, The Portland Rose Festival Main Stage at Waterfront Park, The Bite of Seattle, and two appearances at KINK-FM radio’s summer concert series "Noon Tunes" with his Band at Pioneer Courthouse Sq in downtown Portland.
In addition he has performed live 4 times with his bands on KGW-TV Ch 8 the NBC affiliate in Portland.
Richter has recorded numerous albums of his original songs over the years and his composition “The Money’s Gone” has been covered by two artists including a band in Canada.

As well as being a musician, in 2013 Richter began hosting a weekly radio show on KMUZ-FM in Salem “Local Roots” featuring original music from NW artists. Today the show is syndicated and heard 6 days a week on 4 FM radio stations around the NW.
I have all of my own Sound Equipment and lighting if needed to cover any solo performance. I have my own cables, extension cords, mixer, speakers, mics and even background music in between sets of music
My set list contains music with cover songs from the 50s to the present and as well my own original music.
