We had such a great experience with Roger Ray at our Christmas party. There were about 20 kids, and he took time to talk with all of them, took pictures with the kids and families and told some great stories.

We made arrangements for Santa to visit our family on vacation at a water park in Wisconsin Dells. We asked him to set up in the lobby of the hotel. When we were ready to leave the pool for the evening. We heard quite a bit of commotion. Children from all parts of the hotel were calling. Santa is in the lobby. He is looking for the Farruggia family. You could only imagine the looks on their faces. Some of the less behaved were shocked that he actually checks up. He greeted them all with a big smile and a warm, Ho Ho Ho. After they all made their special requests. He told them a story. Needless to say, everyone was quick to bed without any argument. Just in case he was still around. Best money spent. My children talked about it way past Christmas.

Santa came to my work and handed out candy canes and everyone including staff, patients and kids were so surprised and excited to get to not only see Santa but to interact with him. Santa was friends and took his time to say hello to everyone. He was not in a hurry and really listened to each person he came in contact with.

What to Expect
Real bearded Santa who loves bringing joy and smiles to everyone he meets. He loves children and animals. Has done photo sessions for families, pet stores, restaurants, company parties and home visits. Reading books, taking Christmas gift lists and visiting with everyone. I had a family video tape me using my magic key to enter their home. The video recording captured me putting presents under the tree, partaking in the cookies and milk that was left. Then me leaving. They showed the video to the children Christmas morning. Everyone at any age loves taking a picture with Santa. I am always available to make Christmas magic come alive.
About
Roger has always been a source of joy for those around him. With three adult children—Shannon, April, and Andrew—and three grandchildren—Hannah, Abigail, and Eliana—he is cherished by his family. Now, with Cheryl by his side, he navigates life with renewed warmth and companionship. Known for his corny “dad” jokes and quick magic tricks, Roger brings laughter to gatherings, especially with the little ones.
His journey took a challenging turn in 2003 when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Overcoming his battle with cancer, he felt a calling to give back. The experience inspired him to leverage his knack for spreading joy, leading to the creation of Short Circuit the Clown. The name being inspired by his career as a supervising electrician. For years, he actively participated in local fundraisers and events, working closely with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness and support for cancer research.
In 2022, Roger decided to transition to a new role that aligned with his passion but was less physically demanding. Embracing the spirit of the holidays, he swapped his balloon animals for candy canes, delighting audiences of all ages. Now, he continues to weave magic and wonder into the lives of those around him, creating smiles and cherished memories wherever he goes.
