I'm a singer/songwriter. My cover set, which I perform mostly when busking, is an eclectic mix of classic rock gems from artists such as Bruce Springteen, REM, Eagles, Tom Petty, and much more. Depending on the audience and response, I sprinkle in some of my originals. I feel I'm top-notch.
What a wonderful treat it was to have Ron perform at my husband’s surprise party! His professionalism, talent, and generosity of spirit added so much to the celebration! We look forward to having Ron perform at our next celebration!!

Ron Kemp has always been a favorite at our events here in the Rossmoor Community of Walnut Creek, California! He is a rare "twice booked" performer for Juneteenth, and a performer we can always count on residents turning out to see!
Ron Kemp is a great guitarist with a beautiful, resonant voice and a huge repertoire of original songs and covers. He writes tender, moving songs and covers everything from classic rock to pop to country—from Pink Floyd to Grateful Dead to Clapton, Springsteen, Buffet, and Paisley. Ron engages and plays to his audience and has a large, loyal following in both theWashington, DC, and San Francisco areas.
I've been listening to Ron's music for several years now. I particularly like his debut cd. What I really liked is all the songs are great quality. Normally when you buy a CD there's a couple good songs and the rest are filler, but Ron really put his best foot forward with this one.
Ron has played 8-10 times at Weekends on the Hill on Potrero Hill. I’m so glad I discovered this gem playing on Market St. He is the most popular of all the performers we’ve had this season and now has established a good following. He does super versions of songs we all know, love and can hum along with. His singing is at least as good as the original recording and he plays a mean guitar.

Even though I'm primarily a busker, I think of myself as a top-notch, professional performer suitable for most venues. I love interacting with my audience, and my music promotes their interaction: plenty of familiar singalong and a few dance-alongs as well. Typically, with 2 - 2½ hour gigs, I like to go, start to finish, without breaks. Too much momentum lost with breaks. I'm very punctual. I like to arrive with plenty of time to get set up and do my sound checks and, perhaps mingle a bit with the audience that's present. I keep my audience engaged with my repertoire, and I really enjoy when they actively participate by singing/dancing along.
I bring my own sound system but need time to get properly set up and tuned up. I don't have my own lighting as of this moment.
