I am a trumpet player and conductor who recently relocated to Indianapolis and am an Assistant Professor of Music at Franklin College. I completed my doctorate in music from the University of Washington. I am available to perform at weddings or other events, as well as teach lessons.

Ross Venneberg is an active trumpet performer and educator in Seattle. He is currently a first year Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the University of Washington where he studies with David Gordon, Principal Trumpet of the Seattle Symphony, and is the recipient of a Boeing Fellowship and the Dema and Greta Irvine Endowed Scholarship.
Ross has performed with London's Philharmonia Orchestra, the Lake Washington Symphony, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Napa Valley. He has toured throughout the United States and in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Slovakia in venues such as Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, the Berlin Philharmonie, Lincoln Center and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. He has played under renowned conductors Sir Simon Rattle, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Robert Spano and Michael Tilson Thomas. During the summers he has performed at the Aspen Music Festival, Marrowstone Music Festival, Miami Music Festival and Spoleto Festival USA.
As a soloist, Ross has been featured with the U.C. Berkeley Symphony and collaborated with the organists of the New York Philharmonic and San Francisco Symphony in performances at The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine (NYC) and Saint Ignatius Church (San Francisco).
An advocate for education and community outreach, Ross is currently a trumpet instructor for Discover Melody, Inc. and a mentor for the Seattle Collaborative Orchestra. He has previously held teaching positions at the Manhattan School of Music Arts-in-Education and Distance Learning programs and works with students of all ages in lesson and masterclass settings.
A native of Sitka, Alaska, Ross is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College of California (B.A., cum laude) and Manhattan School of Music (M.M.). His previous teachers include Mark Gould, Adam Luftman and Roger Schmidt.
