RQ Sings & Plays

When asked what my music sounds like, I say, “if Beethoven, The Beatles and Queen got together in a 1-man band, that’s what it might sound like!” It's just me at the piano, guitar and mic. I have a diverse repertoire consisting of classical music, standards, rock, R&B and, of course, originals.

So if you're looking for a pianist and/or guitarist to play a set of just instrumental music for cocktail hour, that is right up my alley! I'll be more than happy to do that! As well, if you want a singer-songwriter acoustic set (or two), I'll be delighted to do that too!

Raul Quines is a Filipino-American composer, singer-songwriter, pianist and guitarist. He's been composing most of his life, but grew up playing rock 'n' roll. He has since circled back to his first love, songwriting! His newly released singles in 2024 - “There’s A Bridge” (for classical/flamenco guitar), “Lilac Wine” (voice and telecaster) and “Mesmerized” (voice, piano, electric guitars and strings) - are available on all streaming platforms! Following the singles is the April 26th release of his solo debut EP, MOONS & ARCHES!!!

As a composer, Raul Quines works in multiple disciplines: concert, dance, film and theatre. He's written and curated music for Paul Nugent and AboutFACE Ireland Theatre in Dublin, Ireland.
