Run for Cover is a 6 piece band hailing from the Platte City, MO/Desoto, KS areas. We play classic rock as well a popular dance songs. Most of us are retired military, but we all have one thing in common............playing great music together! Whether it's a private function or a public event, we can add the rhythm to make it memorable!
Run for Cover is an awesome band. They sounded great and I really enjoyed listening to them play. Highly recommend this band if you are looking for Classic Rock band for any event.

Electrical outlets are a must for our equipment. We utilize a digital mixing system with stage monitors. Due to our 6 piece band membership, space can be an issue. We play approximately 12-13 songs per set (at least 45minutes) with a short break in between. Three sets of music are the goal. We're not into theatrics (light shows, foggers, etc.), the essence is playing recognizable music at a proficiency level that will make everyone bob their heads, tap their feet or get on the dance floor.
Run for Cover was started in 2017. Greg, our bass player has been in bands for the last decade. After playing in a bunch of temporary bands, he thought "why not get permanent?" So recruiting some military buddies and auditioning some great talent on Craigslist, Run for Cover was born. Classic rock such as Led Zep, AC/DC, Eagles, are a few of the songs the band plays, Popular songs like Smooth by Santana, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, and Brickhouse by the Commodores are sure to get people on the floor.
We aim to practice weekly to ensure we're tight, but also adding to our 30+ songlist to ensure we have diversity and stay in the zone. We're just 6 musicians who really love to play music together and share with others!
We do not bring lighting, this will need to be provided or there should be at least enough light to help us see what we're doing. Fancy stage lighting is not required, just illumination. We require WiFi to ensure our mixer is able to control our sound. We need electrical outlets as 5 of us utilize electronic equipment (amplifiers, processors, pedal boards, etc.) that require power. Stage requirements to accommodate 6 grown adults with equipment. Because we are a 6 piece band, our space requirements may be abit more as far as square footage. We practice in a 10 x 14 room, so you can plan on this as a reference point.
