Live cello blends with accompaniments I personally craft in my studio. A sensitive ensemble sound. Think grand pianos, additional cellos, acoustic guitar, and more. I record all of these instruments with high standards.
My specialty is performing elegant and relaxing music (both classical and modern) which translates beautifully to wedding pre-ceremonies and ceremonies, as well as many other settings and events. In addition, my repertoire includes plenty of mid-tempo music that's great for cocktail hours and events of all types and sizes.
Ryan is incredibly talented and an absolute joy to work with. Easily a go-to for me as a local wedding planner!

Beautiful music that's relatable to the masses. As far as song selections, I have something for everyone, and the melodies are going to be easily recognizable. People often describe my music as soothing, and while doing so, I often sense their feeling of excitement. That's a cool combination. My repertoire is over six hours, fitting the mood for events ranging from casual to semi-formal. With humility I observe - this music always connects!
I approach the cello like singing. That's actually not a new role for the cello, although, it's much different than the role a cello generally is played in a string quartet or orchestra. I have been in love with the cello since the day I started, over 30 years ago!
I'm classically trained, but at the same time I come from the not-classical-music side of music just as much. This is because I also grew up playing in bands - jazz, rock, blues, country - and love all music. What this means for you is that you get to experience a unique cello who always plays with a beautiful sound. My cello playing is made of an expansive tapestry of music and musicians I've loved and emulated throughout my life. Pretty cool.
In late 2017, I got the idea to try making beautiful backing tracks to perform live cello with. To my delight, it really caught on. I'm honored to again and again touch people of all walks of life with this one-of-a-kind repertoire of cello music I continue to craft with all my heart, mind, and soul. Performing this music has been my full-time job since 2018.
