Sara has an amazing voice. As soon as she started to sing, our guests looked at me with amazement. They came up to me an complimented me for booking the perfect artist. Sara's voice complimented our event perfectly. I requested for the music to be 2000's pop jazz covers for a 30 minute performance. She created the perfect playlist. I can't wait to book her again for a much longer performance.
Book Sara and her band. Close your eyes and take a trip back to the roaring 20s with their performance. Loved every moment!

Vocalist Sara Finkle has a rich and haunting voice that weaves through melodies, intricate rhythms, and thought-provoking lyrics.
Her compositions draw from jazz, folk, hip-hop, and pop music. She prides herself on the juxtaposition of lyric and setting, often disguising dark and genuine messages with fun grooves and enticing melodies. As an undergrad, she studied psychology and often references themes of internal struggle with her lyrics and compositions. She draws influence from artists such as Becca Stevens, Chris Thile, Gretchen Parlato, and Ella Fitzgerald.
She has attended the University of North Texas (UNT) on a music scholarship, where she has worked with Johnaye Kendrick, Josh Nelson, Sara Gazarek, and Joseph Curiale on her compositions. While at UNT, she has collaborated with faculty and students to bring their compositions and arrangements to life. At UNT she had opportunity work with Rosana Eckert, Anna Jalkéus, Jennifer Barnes, and Justin Binek.
With Denton, Texas as her home base, Sara regularly gigs throughout the DFW area. You can catch her leading her own originals group, singing eclectic, upbeat covers with TeamTeam - a group she co-leads with Alex Kishiyama, or jazz standards. Sara has performed at the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival, the DFW Women in the Arts Festival in Dallas, TX and the Sight and Sound Festival in Salt Lake City, UT.
