Overview
The Seattle Irish Dance Company provides Irish Dance Entertainment to a variety of different venues. We perform with numerous bands, at bars, parties, weddings, corporate events, festivals, and in theaters. We can involve the audience or fit into shows that just need one or two Irish dance numbers. We are willing to work with you to create a show that meets your needs. We are committed to sharing the excitement of Irish dance with as many people as possible and know that quality entertainment matters.

Our elementary school was hosting International Night for students/family and community members. We were expecting a quick performance to entertain in the background. The dancers were amazing, and engaged the entire room of people. The dancers taught the crowd some quick Irish history, performed amazingly and then taught us how to do a simple Irish dance. So much fun, they stole the show!! Thank you so much for being above and beyond expectations!!

What to Expect
The Seattle Irish Dance Company seeks to wow audiences with our rhythmic footwork, innovative choreography, and our professionalism. Our act can be extremely versatile--fitting into large theater venues or tiny crowded bars. We will work with you to create the best possible performance.
When booking for weddings or parties, we often recommend hiring us to perform and involve the audience in an approachable, fun, Irish dance lesson. We teach a fun form of traditional group dancing (called ceili dancing) in between performance numbers to get the crowd up on their feet.
About
The Seattle Irish Dance Company is made up of gregarious, free-spirited, technically outstanding professional dancers. While the Seattle Irish Dancers maintain a love for the music and dance of Irish culture, they effortlessly blend traditional rhythm with contemporary elements. As former competitive champions and current professional performers, the Seattle Irish Dancers are uniquely able to bridge the gap between technical skill and the love of dance performance.
The Seattle Irish Dancers are the only professional performance Irish dance company in the Pacific Northwest. They've performed with musicians from around the world - Gaelic Storm, The Chieftains, and Celtica Pipes Rock - to name just a few. The Seattle Irish Dance Company has appeared on the famous cabaret spiegeltent of Teatro Zinzanni, Seattle's Paramount Theatre, Key Arena, danced at numerous musical festivals, and taken their work on several tours - both in the states and internationally. The Seattle Irish Dancers are as comfortable performing on the main stage of a theater as they are dancing in the pub at a crowded music festival.
Additional Booking Notes
We do need a few things to make our performance the best it can be:
1. Hard floor that we are able to wear our shoes on. Wood floors are great, but we can make it work on just about anything. Carpet is really tricky.
2. If you aren't hiring us in tandem with an Irish band, don't worry! We'll just need a way to plug in an IPod on a loud overhead speaker system.

Influences & Inspiration
We seek to bring Irish Dance entertainment to as many people as possible. We are influenced by big theater shows like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, Trinity Irish Dance Company and Heartbeat of Home. We seek to combine the professional Irish dance quality of these shows with the unique cultural and musical influences that draw so many to Irish culture. Though our dancers are outstanding in their field, our show is upbeat, fun and accessible. We are constantly influenced by the amazing bands we are privileged to work with, and hope to work with many more of them!
