Shannon Ashlia artistry provides choreography in the hip-hop, jazz, tap, burlesque, and contemporary genres. Shannon not only is a choreographer but a full-time professional dancer as well as The current director for Oasis Dance Company. Shannon can provide choreography, professional dancers, styling and creative direction for events and shows, etc.
Shannon Ashlia is one of the most AMAZING, innovative, and multi-talented choreographer/dancers I've ever seen! Also important is her business acumen, punctuality, creativity, and professionalism. We were about 2 years into creating a tribute show for the icon, Ms. Janet Jackson (for heart health), and C-19 shut us completely down. When our country slowly started lifting the C-19 restrictions, I discovered that my former choreographer and dancers were not available for various reasons. One had to work, one had moved, another had a health issue, etc. Completely understandable. I thought all was lost. I came across Shannon's Instagram and she was incredibly gifted in many areas of dance. I contacted her, explained the show, logistics, and she thankfully said... yes, when do we start! I then advised that we will need to audition more dancers. To which she said, not a problem! Give me a few days. She called back in 48 hours with 4 of the most proficient dancers. Janet choreography is known for its precision, synchronization, degree of difficulty, and groundbreaking style. When I saw Shannon's choreography, I immediately wanted her to revamp the entire show! Shannon's techincal skills are high but not impossible. She changed me from an average dancer into a force to be reckoned with on the stage! We represented Janet in a way that would make her proud. She saved our show. She was amazing to work with and to behold how creativity flows through her was magical. She will always be my first go to for any future productions. I can't THANK her enough!
Hiring Shannon and her team was the absolute BEST decision we made for my daughter's bat mitzvah. As an event designer and producer, I am extremely hard to please and very discerning, Shannon did not disappont, not even for a second.
Shannon was hired to choreograph a very special father/daughter dance and quickly became so much more. She not only created the the most amazing and fun dance, but she also became teacher, coach, cheerleader and an invaluable source of creativity and magic maker. She took a 13 year old shy girl with no dance experience and a very uncoordinated, zero rhythm father and quickly turned them into masters of the dance floor. I have never seen either of them so happy and full of joy as they were when they NAILED the dance!
She enhanced the dance routine with her incredible talent and brought a team of dancers that were unmatched! Oh and she did all of this with LESS than a month's notice!
Mixing audio files, choreography, dancing, confidence building, costumes...there is truly nothing Shannon cannot do! All of our guests are still talking about the dance and say it was the best part of the event. We have watched the video's everyone keeps sending over and over again. Each time we watch we cannot help but be all smiles and forever thankful to Shannon and her team!
We can't wait to start working on the next event!
