We hired Sharisse as a month/day of coordinator for our wedding and could not have found a better partnership. As a professional project manager, I already had my wedding fully planned and designed. We were simply looking for someone to ensure everything came together as planned In the end so that we could focus on enjoying our special day. We hired Sharisse a few months before the wedding and quickly realized that her expertise would provide so much more. She immediately introduced herself to all of our vendors and began to establish relationships. She prepared a detailed wedding itinerary for us (incorporating several things that I hadn't even thought of!) and flawlessly coordinated our wedding rehearsal. My mind had never been more at ease with Sharisse in control. As our wedding day approached, my entire bridal party commented on how calm and relaxed I was - not one ounce of "bridezilla" could be found. This was solely due to the confidence, organization, constant communication and professionalism that Sharisse provided. I had nothing to worry about! Throughout our partnership she always promptly responded to my 6am emails and my 10pm text messages. Her suggestions were right on point and she did everything we needed and more. The day before the wedding I had a "million" things that needed to be brought to the wedding venue and coordinated. Sharisse was already familiar with our wedding plan so seeing her smiling face at our house on time to take it all off of our hands was the best relief ever. She filled up her entire car with everything we had - favors, signs, table centerpieces, ceremony items, decorations, etc - and promised to take care of everything. And that's exactly what she did. Our wedding was flawless. Our guests were amazed at how well coordinated our wedding was. Sharisse was accessible to me the entire time and addressed any small thing needed. Even with my "project manager's plan" and fully planned wedding, there's no way I could have pulled this off without Sharisse's professional coordination. I have already recommended her to all of my friends and family for their future events!
From the start of our wedding planning, we knew that the vision we had was quite a tall order. Rustic, outdoors, budget friendly, and most of all fun for the guests and for us. We also knew that our wedding venue would be a colossal challenge for our soon-to-be coordinator. It was an open field with a fantastic view but no amenities (only electricity!). The plan was to rent a tent for the reception, set up the field with sprawling lawn games, and to create an intimate ceremony space. This was to be an all-hands-on-deck, DIY wedding.
We spent a lot of time researching various coordinators and were having trouble finding someone we felt would be able to pull off our unique and personal day. We felt truly lucky when we found SJ Events; Sharisse and her team did all that and more. Prior to the wedding Sharisse was always available to bounce ideas off of, and she had even driven to our house in NJ to meet with us and to do her own strategizing at the wedding venue. The night of our rehearsal dinner Sharisse seamlessly ran through the order of the ceremony with our somewhat difficult bridal party. She then spent much of that evening with her team decorating the empty field including the reception tent, children’s tent, ceremony space, and the lawn games.
When it came to the big day, Sharisse followed all of our intricate and detailed instructions. Upon arriving at the venue, the field was transformed! We were thrilled to see that Sharisse had made our vision a reality. It was obvious that she had put a lot of thought and care into every detail. As our day-of coordinator she managed her team with finesse and worked effectively with our photographer, food service people and dj (who she had met only that day). If anything went wrong on our wedding day, we had no idea, as Sharisse had the whole day running smoothly. After the wedding Sharisse and her team thoroughly cleaned up the venue making it look as though the event never happened!
Without a doubt SJ Events was a lifesaver. Sharisse saved us a lot of stress and was wonderful to work with.
