Slipjacket is a 4-pc Classic Rock band. They have been together for 3 years. All four of it's musicians are seasoned veterans in preforming and entertaining in Southern California for over 30 years. Slipjacket plays many of the most familiar and danceable Classic Rock songs of the past. Slipjacket also has the capacity to become an "unplugged" acoustic version of it's self, enabling the band to preform in smaller, quieter venues, while still maintaining the same Classic Rock selection used in larger venues. Slipjacket provides a professional live music sound at a reasonable cost to the client.
I found Slipjacket through Gigsalad when my regular band was booked, and boy am I glad I did! Steve was very prompt in sending his proposal and answering my questions. He called a few days prior to the event to reconfirm the details. Day of the event, he arrived two hours early to make sure everything was in place and no surprises for his band mates.
At the appointed time, they warmed up and then let 'er rip. They were amazing, absolutely amazing. They played great songs, one after another, and everyone was dancing non-stop. I was busy with hostess duties and never had to worry about a lag in the party, the volume, the tempo, or anything. They took the ball and completely ran with it.
I had many, many, many compliments on the band and people wondering where on earth I found such talent. Every musician was fantastic in their own right, and the signer was amazing, sounded just like Sting or Tom Petty on those songs. Plus there were really nice guys. I would hire them again in a heart beat.
